Default What do you think of these highlights?

Supposedly this is the new trend, metallics. This was achieved by Redken Shades EQ's new titanium colors. I like the way it looks, at least on the model. My biggest gripe is that my highlights always tend to look too, I don't know, yellow? gold? brassyish? Could this be the answer to my prayers? Or would I risk just looking gray? Tell me what you think!

I'm a big fan of the Titanium line when it's mixed with other colors... alone, the metallic cast just looks odd to me. On the model, they actually used the Titanium Color Fusion (permanent haircolor) as well... so essentially, it's cool on cool which ends up looking effin' weird IMHO.

However, for those who want really platinum, icy blonde, using equal parts Titanium, Violet, and clear in Shades EQ as a toner is awesome.

Hehe it reminds me of that spray-on glitter haircolor they sell around Halloween.

I like it! I wouldn't get highlights like that, but I think they're cool. If you have a complexion like either of the models, I think you could totally rock metallic highlights... I'm a blushy, green-eyed blonde, so I think I'd look like a weird elf with silver hair. But seriously... you're not on crack, I think they're neat.

Oh thank God. I was starting to feel weird that I was the only one who likes them hahaha! I'm trying to decide what exactly is it about them that appeals to me...I think it's the iciness. TOTH, my skin is a shade or two lighter but my eyes are dark like hers and my hair is naturally really dark too.

I just feel like regular highlights look weird on me. I'm not sure if I'm just impossible to please or if there is really something there.

Maybe adding a few of them would be kinda cool, like mixing them in with other colors, but I wouldn't do my whole head.

    I like it too, alot!

Dunno how good it'd look without the make-up though.

I think the eyeshadow is probably making it look so hot to me?

How would one mix an icy light brown? Equal parts 8N and 6N with some 7T? Maybe a splash of 9V?

What about mixing up a cool light brown to tone down the highlights and then glazing over the whole head with, say, 7T? Didn't they do a glaze over in the pic?

I like it except for that big chunk on her crown. It looks like a do-it-yourself home frost gone wrong. Why did they allow that to be in the photo, and am I the only one seeing it?

yeah, this is probably true. I discovered about a year ago that these eye colors look great on me. I have a graphite colored pencil that I just love and really makes my dark brown eyes pop.

I would love to have grey hair. Seriously.

I've seen it once before and it so so cool. I looked for a long time trying to figure out how to get it that color but didn't find anything.

How does it work? Is it basically like dying it super blond and then tinting it? I'm just wondering how terribly crappy it would be for my hair.

Joplin, in the picture they used level 20 and level 30 to lift for the highlights. And then toned with steel and silver. It wouldn't be any more damaging than regular highlights.

Holy shit, "frosting" hair has come back. ACK!!!

It's just going to look gray when it's all said and done, although I've not seen it since the early 90's on anyones head.
