Default brow threading, lashes, lace front wig

Sheesh the shit hurts but the results are lovely and it lasts a lot longer than the razor method. now i need to decide whether or not to do the individual lashes thing. i rub my eyes so much, the hair would probably fall off in two days of my getting them put on.

do you prefer individual or the strips that come on and off easily?

i ordered my new lace front wig and i expect to have it no later than saturday. the weather is warming up and i wanna get super cute for it cuz i gotta campaign!

Is brow threading where they take thread and snip off your hair? I got that done to my whole face one time. I just went to get my eyebrows waxed and the lady did it without asking, but didn't charge me for it. It did hurt, but I was kind of wondering why she did it? I'm not a werewolf or anything..

I used to get my forehead/hairline and sideburns, upper lip threaded(pretty much my whole face), lately I've only been getting my eyebrows done. I don't find it hurts that much, and prefer it to waxing.

Don't use the lashes, so can't help you.

I'm an eyelash freak...I love them with a bloody passion. Even before I was running around naked for money, I would still run around in giant lashes. It's safe to blame Davey Havok for that penchant...oh so glam though!

Anyway, I wear the strips. The application is super-easy once you get a little practice. I take them off with the rest of my makeup every night. Honestly, taking them off is the easy part, it's dealing with the mentally creepy fact that you just peeled the eyelashes off your face that kind of freaks me out, lol.

Never done threading..however I did do the "permanent" eyelashes. They use medical glue and individually place each lash. Result was gorgeous but I felt like tearing them out as they grew out. It felt like I could feel the glue scratching the inside of my eye. That was painful. I even had her use the sensitive glue. I think her application method wasn't that great..and may try it with someone who has more experience. She was still working on getting certified. Just beware...they are NOT permanent..I knew that though. In just a few weeks they started falling out and I was soo happy when they were all gone.

Seems like every place I go to to get threading, they always assume since I'm a little blonde white girl I must want my eyebrows super thin. I like thick eyebrows damnit!!! Even when I say thick, they still do them thin! It's always the threaders too, almost never the waxers (which beacuse of retin-a I can't do) and never ever when I ask them to just pluck my brows, but that takes way too long (looks the best though).

    ^^^Ouch!

I love threading. It's way more precise than waxing could ever dream of being, IMO.

I use the strips of lashes too. NYX or NYC or ELF cosmetics makes great cheap ones that you can use and reuse for weeks.

    Lace wigs...I have a tizzon. Well...by tizzon I mean about a dozen.

Gotta love lurking on BlackHairMedia. They have the best info and tips on there.

Anyone have an eyelash extension places to recommend in NYC? I want to give it a shot.

Does threading feel like tweezing or does it feel worse? I hate getting tweezed with a passion. Especially by the retards who constantly pinch the skin along with the hair!!
If it doesn't hurt as much maybe I'll do a shot then go in lol.

When I am in England I prefer to get my eyebrows threaded by my regular, but when I am in the US I prefer waxing. I have found that the results vary with each method depending on the person doing it. Eyebrow threading is great because it makes the eyebrows more defined but not all people are good at doing it; and it hurts like a mofo.

As for faux eyelashes I prefer strip over temp extensions but the perm extensions are awesome! Just be careful with who you allow to do it.

Are you OK with Northern NJ? Edgewater to be exact.

Sure I can travel to Jersey- any reason to stop at GS Plaza and Jersey Gardens, is fine by me.
