    Default Weird work out , weight loss question , help !!

    Ok so I am getting super close to my pre baby body , I am eating right (most of the time ) I am working out like everyday , lots of water , all that good stuff . I know that your not suppose to be able to spot reduce fat BUT I think I am and I dont wanna ......I was equally chubby all over but my tummy bothered me the most , to its the most unfeminine place to be fat . Sooo I have been doing the turbo jam series which is great but they focus alot of your "core" ...........now my waist is getting skinny , I even have a two pack , I still have a below the button gut but ......

    so I took some pictures to check my progress and my thighs are a mess and my upper arms are big and a little flabby still

    This is weird because I always have had super skinny upper arms and I have been doing cardio ......

    Is there anything I am doing wrong ? Something I should try for those areas ??? Please

    Cardio helps to lose fat in general, but toning (strength training) your arms will help to take away the little bit of flab you see, and give you the sleek appearance.

    ^She's right. Do cardio at least 4 times a week, and make sure to work your arms and legs with weights. The more muscle you build, the more calories/fat your body burns while you're sitting on your ass in front of the tv. True story.

    Lol , yeah I heard about the resting metabolic rate . So maybe I will start doing more weights then ? I just figured I would lose my weight and then tone up but ......its not working out that way oxox Thanksxoxo

    I do some kind of strength training every time I go to the gym. That way when I miss a couple of days due to work, I maintain without watching too much what I eat. The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn.

    and don't worry, you wont get big and bulky - women don't have enough testosterone to have that happen :-)

    Thanks , I am not worried about bulking up , I just dont do alot of weights because I work out at home around my 2yr old so I try to make the most of my time , I thought that would be best doing cardio .....anyways I havent worked out in a week !!!! I have been so so on my diet but still , not good . I am about to go work out right now because the wee one is alseep , even though its 90 and humid today in Florida ......still gunna work out , I am dying to get beach sexy and lay out all day and play with the baby at the beach !!! Woohoo .....

    The strength training stuff I do doesn't use weights so much.

    If you're using your own body as resistance and doing crazy stuff on the BOSU...voila! You'll be really impressed with the results! I can't believe some of the things I do when working out with my trainer friend.

    Oh yeah I work so much better with someone else .....just like to show off I guess . Its hard , i just tried to get through some weight work out and I just wasnt in the moood .....grrrrr , lol

    BOSU is a large semi circular ball that has a flat side.

    You use both sides and do many cool exercises
    Squats on the BOSU are killer and great for the booty!!!!

    But the ball blue side down (flat side facing you, then CAREFULLY climb on one leg at a time. When you have your balance you can try to squat up and down.
    It requires core strength as well as leg strength to keep you from falling off

    Another thing that can help are resistance bands, a medicine ball, and a palates ball. Those are things that you can use around your wee one without too much worry that they will get hurt, or you can use then when your young one is napping. More if the exercises I'm seeing now are using more and more of those.

    One of the other tips for dieting is more of watching your carb and sugar intake. I'm not sure what diet you are on, but generally watching carbs and sugar help a bit more then counting calories because the amount of carbs you intake can cause fat storage, and hinder what you are trying to accomplish.
