Default Where can I make some damn money in Portland!?

I've been working between a couple clubs and things have just been unbelievably shitty. As in, I'm worried I won't be able to pay my bills next month if things continue as such.

In the past few weeks, I've rarely made $200 or above. Yesterday, Friday night, I took home $80.

I have to find a way to make more money. At this point, I would be very happy to just bring home $200 fairly consistently. Any suggestions as to place I should try? I live in the downtown area, so as close to that as possible would be great since I don't drive and don't want to spend a buttload of cabs.

club 205. even day shifts are good, or so i hear. you have to go through rockstar, but it's really not that bad as long as you're not late and show up for your shifts. low stage fee, taxi there isn't that bad either (im close in on the east side). I haven't walked out of the club with under 300 except for two nights, which were 2-for tuesday where i had to split tips with another girl, but it was still around 200. mid shifts are good too (5-10).

i would have quit dancing in this town if it wasn't for 205.

Where are you now? If you want to stay downtown I'd suggest Cabaret.

For reasons I can't really go into right now, I'd rather not say where I'm currently dancing. I realize it would help if I could.

I currently go a little ways away from downtown, Haven't tried any downtown clubs. I've heard nothing good about Patty at Magic Gardens, but maybe...I might audition at Mary's, but I don't know if they'd be able to get me on the schedule right now. So many people seem to want to work there.

I was considering trying cabaret. Any relevant info about that club anyone would like to throw out? What kind of dances do they do there?

I think you should try Cabaret. I've heard the girls there do all right. I've also heard it may be a little dirty... but, I don't really know what that means by Portland standards. But I think you should try a larger club, if the small stage ones aren't working out.
I just read your other thread in Stripping General and it sounds like you should try a change of pace from the stage-centered clubs.

$80 nights are unfortunately a part of the economy of Portland sometimes. On a friday night you might have no businessmen and tons of hipsters in some of the most popular clubs. Super lame. I think that Tina's constant philosophies of weekly/monthly averages are especially applicable to the saturated market of Portland.

If you don't mind working at a club known for being dirty, go for Cabaret. They run a lot of girls a night, but I've heard most of those girls don't bring home less than $200 a night. But to do that you have to Hustle. I've heard some bad stories about that place- lots of girl on girl sex acts in the PD area and hjs and bjs going on- but I also heard they fired a bunch of management and are trying to clean it up.

I think everyone knows about how crazy Patty is but considering location and decent money prospects, it might be worth the effort. If you want a club for the long-term money making potential, try Mary's. There's money there, though maybe not as much as at Cabaret, but expect to have to wait a few weeks to get on the schedule, which can be frustrating. And it will be a while before you get a choice money shift.

There's also Carnaval downtown, but it's a juice bar that also does private shows. If you're curious about money and what's expected, search for Carnaval in this forum. The woman who runs it is on here and very open about what is- and what is not- expected from her dancers.
