I chose not to vote.
Isn't it obvious?! Madman Across The Water by Elton John can never be beaten. However, Sing The Sorrow by AFI runs a close second.

Dark Side of the Moon.

Out of the ones you listed, The Beatles is definitely the best out of all of 'em.

I voted for The Beatles but I'm not sure I'd say it was the 'greatest music album ever'.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
Ha! You actually had my two top favorite albums and a third that was in my top ten - from when I was about 15 years old but still. Rock!

Well, I'll have to dig up a copy of Madman then. I listened to it a long time ago but it didn't impress me as much as Yellow Brick Road, which I thought had like a dozen great songs on it. Plus it was the first record I ever owned, so maybe I have a soft spot for it myself.

Dark Side of the Moon had the staying power on the charts. I think it was "eclipsed" by The Wall, but the public had its say.

thriller.

Every single song is imbrued with this massive power. Indian Sunset is the only weak link, just cause god bless Elton, but he's a white English guy...thus he can't sing from a native american's pov without sounding kinda stupid. The song itself is still great though. I am very biased towards the album though since it's one of the few bright shiny memories from my childhood.
Steve might have an actual numerical point with Thriller. Isn't it the most popular album of all time or something? Seriously, though I can't claim to be a huge Michael Jackson fan (which I garountee I'll get shit at work now for saying) that album is truly amazing, I give credit where credit is absolutely due.![]()

If we're going by simply best-selling, I do believe that The Eagles "Greatest Hits" has outsold "Thriller" worldwide. Depending on your sources, of course.
Hmm. I'll go with The White Album, for sheer artistic merit.
