Lightbulb What you Make vs. What you Tip-Out

On average, about how much money do you make per night and how much do you tip out (house-fee, housemom, dj, host tips included)?

    I'll begin:

Earn--- about $500 per night. Tip--- $130 on average. That's a cool 21% of my nightly gross income . Anyone have better ratios?

Are you asking how much we take home after tipouts, or how much we make before tipping out? Like are you saying you earn $500 but then tip out $130 and go home with $370, or that you take home $500 after tipouts?

Including cab home, I tipout about 10% but I only take a cab about 1/2 the time because I do days pretty frequently.

    I usually give:

    $30 to DJ ($20 + $10 tip)
    $5 to Doorman ($2 + $3 tip)
    $20 cab if nighttime

So I guess from this you can infer I make about $350 on a day shift and about $550 on a night shift BEFORE tipout.

I meant after tip outs..... sorry for the confusion.

On an average night I make $630-40 give or take.... tip out about $130... and go home with $500.

    Average night:
    Make $150
    House $15
    DJ $15
    Take-home $120

So on an average night, my house & DJ is about 20%.

Friday night was at Wild Orchid
Sat night was at Fantasy Girls

Its funny - hit or miss. My average is $800 a night with the occasional $1200-1500 and occasional $100-300...

I tell girls to come, they dont listen. BUT I am working 10 hour shifts (8 hours on Sat) And when I say working I mean on my feet working all night. The housemom found me around 4am on Sat and was like "Im going to nickname you Ms. Fantasy - I havent seen you all night!" Yea, and the girls at FGs are bitches - another reason to keep working and away from the DR. (It was my first night there ever)

AL- what are summers like there? I'm going to be traveling a bit and dancing this summer, it might be worth it to make a trip down there since i'm going to be going to north cali/sf anyways

Best 2 times to be in Reno.

    and

I make consistant money no matter the season... just some nights suck ya know? But it has nothing to do with summer/winter/etc. I also only work Fri and Sat nights. So Im never tired, overworked, whatever.

not giving specific numbers, but i think i'm a pretty stingy tipper.

manager: minimum, they never do anything to deserve more, and one's an outright bitch to me

dj: one dj i'll tip based on how i do, because he's always wonderful to me. other dj i love bunches, but he won't play my requests, so he gets minimum

hostesses: in one area, they get something. in the other area, they take something. i'd give them more if they didn't take it. frankly, they never do anything to deserve a cent. i should stop.

security: minimum at the door, plus a buck per dance, and a few bucks to whoever walks me to my car, not as much as i'd like to give, but i don't like the shitty attitude i'll get for my meager money sometimes.

i tip out about 20% of my income, total. if i make a ridiculous amount (which doesn't happen often these days) i'll tip out more by choice, to the people who i feel deserve it.

Saturday I made $2200, gave $400 to my driver/security and my boss got $205 of that. So I took home $1600ish.

On average about 20% goes to my security and $50-75 per show goes to my agent.

But $700 of that was already pre-agent-paid. Otherwise I'd owe her somewhere in the $500 range.

My tip outs are low - well my stage fee is $40, but since I work the days usually and my club is CHEAP, there really aren't people to tip out. No bouncer during the day, no doorman - so I usually give the dj $20 and try to get $10 to the bartender and server, but sometimes I can be bad about that... . So....lets see...uh, I can't do math, but like 15%. That's kinda cheap, huh.

I tip out about $60 to $80 depending on what club I'm at. One club lets me use credit card tips to pay for my tip out so I don't have the cash actually leaving my hand. I'd say on an average night I tip out about 20% or less if I make more.

Where I work now is just a flat door-fee (between $30 and $50 depending on what night of the week). We keep the rest. No tips.

Where I used to work we had a $20 "Dj fee" (The DJ never saw any of the money - he's on a base pay, its just a rort to pay a club fee) and then on top of that they took between 40%-50% of our dance money. So usually we ended up losing about 40% of our gross.

I usually do $5 to security, more if they take me the whole way to the bus stop or other assorted circumstances.

I give $5 to housemom since I don't usually use her, unless I eat some of her food or use other services.

My DJ tip tends to be pretty variable. Back in the days of Kevin I regularly dicked his tip to below minimum cause he angered me so much. These days I try to give the DJs as much as I can generally with obvious concideration to the music they've given me, etc. which kind of sucks cause I don't always do great as a day girl and I really do wish I could give them more. But if I have a particularly spiffy set I'll insta-tip the DJ, basicly I go straight from stage to booth and give the DJ a cut as instant gratification.

Generally my house fees are $22, but since I continuously kick ass on sundays...I've got eternal no-fees that day...it pwns.

Sun - thur it is free to work at my club.
On fridays and saturday nights we pay $40 to work there.
We don't tip anyone or pay any percentage. It's just a flat house fee.

A good night is $1000+ and u keep everything u make minus the $40 house fee.

Tonight I worked 4.5 hours. I did almost 70 lapdances on the floor! With tips I earned 725. I gave the DJ a lot extra because he doesn't put me up much. My TOTAL tip outs were 108.

I want to add that this was not a typical night, but typical tip out percentage.
