    Default Tanning & Acrylics

Does anyone have those plastic nail covers for when you go tanning? Do they really help?... Or do they still get a lil yellow/damaged? Cos I rather be pale with pretty nails! Also, this will be the first time I'm really going tanning to get a good tan (I've gone here & there like once or twice a month... but I never had my nails done & it was only for like 7 mins each time)... SO ANY TANNING TIPS WOULD BE LOVELY...

They do in fact help....also, where you get your nails done they might be able to put a UV protectant coat over the tips....or you could probably find one online. It's just like top coat but blocks the UV rays so your nails won't get yellow from tanning.

I always use my nail protectors. I love them! I don't spend over $40 freakin dollars on a fill to yellow nails from tanning lol.

You can find Yellow Stopper at Sally's, just paint it on like a topcoat.

When I tanned, I used them. They absolutely helped. I bought them at the tanning salon for about $10.

I've used them and I hated them. They seemed to cut off the circulation to my fingertips. Ahhh, the price of beauty!!

Same here. The thumb ones come off about 1/2 way through because it hurts. I never use them anymore. No one notices the yellow but me and I dont really care anymore...

That yellow stop stuff sounds cool but I get the UV Gel put on so I dont think that stuff would stick to it.

The nail covers work so much better than the UV nailpolish I've found. You can cut slits in the sides of the covers if they don't fit or are too tight.

I just can't be bothered painting my nails myself, I already spend the time and money going to the salon. I have small hands and fingers too so I don't notice the covers being tight.

Luckily, I never had this problem. I have clear acrylics with the UV gel over them . I use bronzers too.

I never even noticed the difference until my new nail lady. The others were crap but my new lady does them so well they stay shiny and clean and white for aaaaages. I only get them done every three weeks because they're so good. So I never have these issues. Weird.

Same for me. And I find my nail place cheap as hell too, I freaking love it.

Lucky! Mine is expensive plus I tip real well. But she does neat things like nail piercings and uses expensive crystals for my charms and things. I lurve her so much.

You can get UV gel topcoat an have your naillady use it if you get your nails done professionally otherwise use it at home.

I remember seeing the words 'UV gel' on my ladies bottle. Especially since I HAVE to keep my nails under a UV light to set them, I don't see why they'd be fucked from tanning UV.
