I went out and bought 6 metres of different kinds of stretch lycra.

If I make a duck print monokini?! Hahaha that would be funny.

I'm making duck print pyjamas and little duck 'night cap' hats with duck-shaped pompoms.

I'm also making a neat little stripper dress which I can personally never wear.

Thinking of owning the first stripper etsy store. ha.

Did I mention I've wanted a Janome machine since forever?

Need to get it serviced though! D:

Do you use a pattern for making boy shorts?
I'v been looking for a pattern for them for ages, every one says traces some you already have but I'm still to find a pair that i like enough to trace and make my own.

have fun with all that rad fabric

I have a pattern but it's adjusted to fit me. But if you really need a pattern QwickSew has some good ones out right now for boyshorts. Somewhere in the 2552-2558 range I think, for easier browsing.

And omg... I now wanna make duck print bikinis for the Aussie girls...

I have a Janome sewing machine. They are FANTASTIC. I've only had it serviced once, and that's because I ran over a hidden hook in a dress I was revamping. If I was in Aussie I'd want a duck print romper.

Warning: at Ausfest there might be a influx of duck printed strippers running loose.

    ZOMGI<3DUCKS!

I have some duck print fabric too, but just the one. Unfortunately it's not that stretchy, but I did make a t-shirt out of it. Pity I look crappy in yellow.
    I have a Janome, too.
I really really want to get a twin-needle/coverstitch machine so I can hem stretch garments properly. Damn fashion school spoiled me!
Maybe we should make a sewing thread in pic post?

Yay! I have made many of my stripper boyshorts that fit perfectly. After many HOURS of playing around with different cuts, I made a pattern. It is a V cut pattern on the front and back that makes the waist look smaller and doesn't cut me in half or give me "muffin top" The good thing about lycra is that you don't need elastic sewn on. I made some really cute tops that close up with grommets. You can also add grommets to your shorts for that extra daring look. You can get the grommet punching tool at the fabric store and its so easy and fun to use.

The best part of it all is that nobody else at the club will have your style or fabric.

    Have lottsa fun!!
