    Default Help me understand....

Ok, so there is something that has been weighing on my mind lately.
I simply do not understand why customers will turn down a dance while complaining about the price of the dance, or say they don't have enough money for dances, then turn around and offer me a drink, which is more expensive!!! All I have been listening to lately is customers complain about not having any money, the economy, being broke, etc......hence why they cannot get a dance from me, but then will turn around and sit for 3 hours drinking.
Our floor dances are a measly $5 and $10 in the VIP.
A few weeks ago, I was with a guy, we had a few floor dances, then he turned me down for VIP saying it was too expensive. He then offered me a drink and said I could have "whatever I wanted" Well, I decided to experiment a little. I ordered a double Captain and coke, which is $12 at our club. He tipped the waitress $2, so the drink total was $14. I then went on to be offered 2 more by him, which I accepted.
So, he spent a total of $42 dollars on Captain Morgan for me, which could have been 4 VIP dances....but wait....no, no, VIP is too expensive. But $42 in alcohol isn't??
Now girls, don't yell at me, I did try to pitch VIP the best I could, but he kept insisting it was too expensive. I know it's stupid to sit and waste time drinking.... Like I said, it was an experiment seeing how much this guy would spend on alcohol. I am just so intrigued by this whole thing.
I would think that most guys would spend their money on a LD rather than drinks they aren't even drinking.

It has been happening alot lately. Is there some sort of psychological reason that guys feel like they aren't "wasting" their money cause it's spent on alcohol? Do you guys come with money to a SC with the intention to "get fucked up" and spend it on alcohol?

Last night I had a guy try to get me to give him a dance for $3, saying he was broke and didn't have money for a LD. Then, here we go again, offers me a drink, and of course, I can have whatever I want. I ordered a glass of red wine, which is $7. He tipped the waitress a dollar. SO that's 8 dollars spent, that you claimed you didn't have, it's not even contributing to your buzz, you don't get to see me boobs....I'm just...confused!

    Guys.....help me out here??

Well, just don't make it a "guy" thing....I'm a guy and I am the exact opposite...I only like spending my money on girls' time and dances at the club, don't like to buy drinks even for myself.

Maybe they just go to the clubs to talk to the girls. Some girls I have spoken to are very interesting to talk to.
I only go so I can buy dances however, but they may not be into dances, but don't want to say it because it sounds weird to go to a stripclub just to hang out, and not visit the ladies(VIP) or at least get a dance on the floor.

Some guys think that they will get more face time if they buy drinks instead of dances. Some guys have read one two many posts from other customers who say that a dancer will never date you if you are a "customer". Some guys think it makes them special or a "friend". Some are just cheap and clueless...

They probably think dances are a waste of their money but being able to talk to you is not a waste of their money and they get a lot more time with you when they buy you a drink as opposed to a one song dance.

Anybody in a SC using excessive prices as a reason not to do dances is contradicting himself by being there in the first place. If money is truly an issue, its not the place to be, with or without dances. Speaking for myself, I can only say I'm much more selective about who I do dances with than who I'll buy a drink for and if I'm willing to spend the equivalent of a dance on her drinks, I'd probably prefer a dance or do a dance in addition to the drinks. Passing on a $5 or $10 dance because of the costs seems kinda ridiculous.

yes. some of them actually think they're going to get you really drunk and then you'll go home with them.

I think it could be as simple as buying a woman a drink is a normal social activity that guys are very used to doing, whereas as paying a woman for her time is not. I agree it is stupid. I mean, a guy will happily pay $10.00 for a drink for me, but if I asked him for that $10.00 he'd say "no".

You've made a good observation which may be useful to you CB. You now know that there are customers who will not buy dances, but will happily buy drinks for a stripper willing to sit and gab with him. You know there are some strippers that are willing to sit with customers and get free drinks all night but make no money. These customers and strippers seem like a perfect match for each other. You however are free to go about making your money with a little less competition, and a no-dance guy nicely entertained.

You need only to quickly determine if you are dealing with a no-dance guy, then move on.

What club has dances for $5 and $10? I'd be in pig heaven if PDs were $10. I can't imagine getting 20 dances for $100.

These guys are just time wasters that want to spend more time with u than they would get in a lap dance without paying for it. They think buying u a drink will keep u with them for longer. They have some sort of agenda - whether it be talking your ear off about their personal problems, asking u 20 questions about stripping or trying to date u.

I also agree with what Jenny said. Some of them just won't get dances. it affects their self esteem to pay a woman for her time or dances. They just don't GET that we are there to work or they don't care.

Don't waste time with these men they are not worth it - u will not make any money and esp not good money out of them.

AND I agree. That's why I started this thread in the first place. It's just downright confusing. To swear up and down that the only reason not to go into VIP is because dances are $10, then buy me a $12 drink.
For god's sakes, if a $5 floor dance isnt affordable or "worth it"...then what next? Strip clubs that offer free dances? I mean fuck, the economy is bad and all but how cheaper can you get than $5!!!!!!!!???????

That makes sense too. I'm starting to figure out these mental processes

I tend to go to clubs where the ladies are taking home 100-200 per 7 hour shift.
I'm usually not interested in dances (air dances for $20 at these clubs), but I love to chat.

So, I'll decline a dance, but offer a drink, and if she talks with me for 10 minutes or more, I'll tip her 10-20 (next time she's on stage).

We often end up chatting for two hours, and she gets 60-80, and (I think) we're both happy.

^^ No, the ladies sitting with YOU are making $100-200 a shift. The girls making money are off doing dances instead of wasting time so you have no idea what those girls are making...

^^ lol.... I love doing that. WHAT?! How much is the drink?! Well, you gotta pay for it now sweetie, its already here... the drinks at my club start at $12 (other than beer, thats $6).

Im sorry, complaining about $5 and $10 dances is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. These guys need to check out other clubs so they can see what a good deal they have. Problem is they have nothing to compare it to... now, if they went to my club where floor dances are $20 and VIP is $670/hr I think they my appreciate what they have more.

I think we just might have put our hands on why the girls you spend time with are making $100 shift. I doubt they are happy with it; but I suppose if they are going around feeding a sense of entitlement to free time, they have nobody to blame but themselves.

A drink lasts longer than a dance. I can talk while my dancer is performing, but I have to talk fast. So buying a drink allows me more time with the dancer.

If I want even more time, the club I usually go to allows me to buy a dancer off the list and we can visit for one hour. The club gets $25 and she gets $100. The same amount of money in the lap dance area would last me about 30 minutes. If I want, I can buy a few dances during that hour, or come back to her later. The whole thing is more relaxed and enjoyable.

I need to rethink my SC strategy. I'm lucky if I can make $300 last 3 hours.

So, buy a drink and tip her a $20 on stage and she will spend all of that time with you? You have a gift my friend.

    Agreed.

Really, when it's not about the fact they have no money, it's about the fact that a lot of guys think they're just "too cool" to get dances...because if they get dances they can't score with the dancers OTC because then they have earned the dreaded title of Customer. Idiots.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

OMG yes! I'm convinced some girls come to work just for social hour, not to make any money.

Do these same guys that buy drinks and no dances from you do the same to other dancers?

I have been to many clubs across this country. Some real nice places and some really not so nice places and I have to say...if a dancer told me dances were $5/$10 my first reply would be..."you're kidding...right?"
