    i looked at bagborroworsteal.com

and it looked kind of expensive.

I like the idea of renting couture wedding gowns or dresses though.

It costs so much you can pretty much buy the handbag in a month or two.

IMHO, it's like leasing a car. If you're going to spend the money, wouldn't you like something to have at the end of it? Of course, this depends on your income/ expenses. It might be a good idea if you don't actually want the bag except for a particular event. If you decide to do this, you'd probably want to take good care of the bag. I can definately picture the company claiming the bag has some scratch in it and you'd have to pay for it. Maybe you can contact some of these sites for what they do with these "damaged" bags. If they have an ebay account, you wouldn't have to worry about random designer imposters, really. (Um, and if you wouldn't mind sharing that info... *wink wink*)

When I was in highschool I had a friend who would do this. She had some chick renting them for her, so I can't tell you if the money was worth it, but she got a couple new ones a few times a month.

If you REALLY like handbags that much there's no reason to buy or you'd end up with a closet of unwanted handbags that are just going out of style.

Unless you get really lucky, if you sold it, it is probably going to be way under what you paid anyways.

It's all what you want though.

Yeh the thing with me is I love handbags but I tire of them very quickly. I have a wardrobe full of handbags that I doubt I'll use again.

I love designer handbags but some of them are $3k and I wouldn't spend that. well unless I was rich then I would.

Some are about $200 a month to rent. Im considering it but Im not sure. I wonder what happens if the bag gets damaged? It says they expect normal wear and tear.

    the aussie site.

no surprises here that the US site shits over the Aussie one, with way more to choose from

i will pay thru the ass for shoes but not bags, i just get sick of them too quickly. im yet to find the perfect bag. they all end up pissing me off in some way - as in the practicality of them.

im using an Ed Hardy one at the moment that I absolutely love tho.

She kept really good care of her bags and it seemed like the people who had them before her did as well. As long as you don't set it on the ground, drag it, put pens in it (if they explode) or gum and leaving it in a hot place, I think you'll be fine.
