    Default caesarian kidnappings

I watched a documentary called "I'd kill for a baby". It meant it in the literal sense. It was about women who kill other women, perform a caesarian on the woman and steal the baby. I can't even believe this crime has a name - hence it's happened quite a lot of times.

The women who commit this disturbing act pretend to their partners and families to be pregnant themselves (having baby showers, wearing pregnancy suits), then when it comes time where they would be due they go out and commit this sick crime.

There was one story where the woman lured the victim to her home by saying she had received a gift from a baby gift registry. She said she had the same name as the victim and they were both on the registry and therefore the gift had been sent to the wrong person. So the victim went to this woman's house and the woman attempted to murder her, but luckily the victim fought back. She ended up killing the woman in self defence. The police found a pregnancy suit and a case containing tools that they think she was going to perform the caesarian with.

Another story involved two men and one woman who killed a woman and her two small child and performed a caesarian on her, stealing the baby. The baby survived. One of the men involved was actually the father of the baby.

I found this so disturbing and shocking. These women want to be mothers so badly that they could do this to another woman. Something so gruesome as this?

it wasn't on that show but there have been many cases of it. it's just so gruesome i cant even imagine a woman doing something like that.

yeh i felt disappointed too. i guess i usually think threats would come from men and to think u cant feel safe even around other women is pretty sad.

This happens more than we could ever imagine it would. It's sad. About 4 years back, there was Bobbi Jo Stinnett. She was a Dog Breeder who belonged to an online community for breeders. Another woman befriended her, and set up a day and time to go and look at the puppies that Bobbi Jo had. She then strangled Bobbi Jo, and cut her baby from her. Luckily they found the woman, who stopped off somewhere to show "her" baby off.

The people who do this are unforgivable monsters. Some are women who have lost children through miscarriage or can't conceive. Instead of seeking help for their obvious psychological problems, they decide to get a baby by any means necessary. It's fucking sick, and I can't even think of any punishment that would be even close to suitable for sick fucks like this.

Want to know a scary fact? Leading cause of death in pregnant women is murder.

^Exactly. Scary, right? It's either they're murdered by their spouses (or boyfriends, whatever), or monsters who do things like this topic. I remember being scared with all my pregnancies. It's just this horrible feeling of vulnerability---you really can't defend yourself well when you're really close to delivering a baby.

Here are some links about Bobbi Jo:

    thanks.

Lys thats an awful fact!! geez how depressing.

My friend told me when her daughter was a baby she felt scared a lot just going shopping etc. She felt that vulnerability like if someone attacked her and took her baby what would she do. Yes I image when heavily pregnant u would feel so vulnerable.

There is another show coming up on CI (the foxtel crime channel here in Aus) soon about men who kill their pregnant girlfriends because they don't want to be a father.

I don't understand the reson behind this. It's sick and practically speaking why not just find a woman with a baby, knck he out and THEN steal the baby. At least then all they're after you for is kidnapping not kidnnapping and murder. Also don't you only have a couple of minutes to get the baby out before s/he gets brain damage?

This is just sick and stupid!

I think they were surprised when the babies lived thru this ordeal. I mean it's not as though they are doctors or even nurses. A lot could go wrong for the baby being cut out like that.

I'd forgotten about this, but the scumbag who killed Bobbi Jo is on Death Row now, and will be executed. Who knows when that'll actually happen though. Ugh.

Yeah.. I remember watching in horror when they were showing it on the news.. I think it was CNN. The Mother was so shaken up. I can't even imagine. Bobbi Jo was only 23 years old, and her mother and Husband had to bury her.

This gave me the chills. I've heard of it before but I had no idea how many times it's been done. Sick nasty fucking shit. My first thought was, if a woman wants a baby that bad, why doesn't she just adopt? But then I realized that an unstable (or possibly low-income and unable to afford the adoption fees) person like that probably wouldn't be allowed to adopt.

It's so scary to think of some sick fuck with absolutely no rational thought, and no compassion or caring, attacking someone like a monster like that. There'd be no reasoning with them, because they're so effed up that their view of what they're doing is so skewed.

In the story where the woman survived she said that the thought that if she had of died and that woman was raising her child gave her the chills.

If they got away with it, imagine them raising the child.

I can't believe there's people out there who'd do something like that. It's so awful and those poor mothers they do it to. The poor babies too. Imagine growing up and finding out your "mom" did something like that or even just knowing that someone tried to kidnap you and do that to your mom. Terrible.

Yeah, I saw that documentary too, ironically two weeks before I gave birth. I'd love to do a psychological study on those women just to see what was going through their heads.

Then again, I don't understand how anyone could have such a powerful instinct to breed, like 'OMG MUST GET A BABY NO MATTER WHAT!" to the point that they take another life to get one. Makes no sense to me at all. Ditto for the crazy bitches that steal newborns out of hospitals. Double ditto for that nurse at the Toronto Children's Hospital 24-ish years ago that was killing all the disabled and preemie newborns in the NICU because she thought they'd have poor quality of life when they grew up and was doing them and their families a favor. <----Extra freaky because my friend was one of the lucky ones. The nurse hadn't gotten to him yet when they caught her.

Her name was Susan Nelles. All I can dig up about it was some stuff from an obituary about the guy who caught her.

    /quote
    Robert Freedom[2] (http://www.lastlinkontheleft.com/fc0505.html#f1394)

    Surgeon

In late 1980 and early 1981, more than 30 babies died at Toronto, Canada's Hospital for Sick Children. In March, 1981 Freedom told several of his relatives that "someone is killing our babies" after he learned that large amounts of the heart drug digoxin had been found in a baby who died earlier that month. Days later, he repeated the comment to Metro Toronto Police. On March 25, 1981, Sick Kids nurse Susan Nelles was accused of murdering baby Justin Cook. Two days later, she was charged with murdering three other infants.

A royal commission, headed by Justice Samuel Grange of the Supreme Court of Ontario, investigated 36 deaths at the hospital. Freedom provided a vital link in the murder investigation when he told investigators that an intravenous line could slowly infuse the heart medication into a baby's body over several hours, making it possible for Nelles to have given the drug to infants before she went off duty.

I read an article about this in a magazine once. Apparently, some of these women can want a baby so bad that they actually believe they are preganant and their body goes through changes like it would if they actually were pregnant. Their belly gets all big and everything, and then there is no baby in there.

So horrific. I mean, my GOD. I remember reading about one of these cases a while ago - a few months, maybe. But I seriously thought it was just an isolated lunatic. Had no idea there were more such cases.
