I've been keeping an eye on the local designer consignment store for one.

I just can't justify buying one full price. Yikes. I mean I can see they're high quality and all but it doesn't warrant the $4-800 price difference from my purse from Fred Meyer. I mean, I can still put my stuff in it, and it's lasted, and all that...

I had one and the clasp broke (it was a $600 purse) It was filthy dirty. I sent it in to have it fixed. The dumb ass delivery guy left it in front of my apartment door - ya know a box that says Coach out in the open. MORON!

It was stolen... they replaced it with a brand new CLEAN one. I love Coach.

I wish I could have seen the thiefs face when they opened the box to find a filthy, used one year old purse. When I say filthy I mean the bottom was black and sides brown (when i bought it it was white!) bwahahaha

No offense to anybody here but Coach is not worth the cost at all imo.

Coach is not what one would consider high end or luxury designer and the quality is not THAT great.

^^^ I agree that Coach isn't luxury designer, but it's a deal IMHO! I'm rough on my handbags and I've never torn the lining in any of my Coach bags. When the exterior gets shabby, I just drop it off to my shoe/handbag repair guy and, with the exception of suede peices/accents, they clean up beautifully. My Juicy and Fendi bags are also high quality, durable, and fashionable, but I can't spend that kind of money on an accessory anymore.

In my expierience, the handbags that aren't worth the $ are Prada. I've torn the lining in 2 out of 3 of them within 3 months of use and those suckers cost 3x more than Coach!

I can spot a fake Fendi, Coach, and Juicy handbag from a mile away, so I'd suggest against a knockoff...

^^^I'm gonna have to disagree with you. If you collect the authentic stuff you notice the knockoffs. They may be able to duplicate the hardware and design but the details, like stitching and print matching at seam, is is always off.

I think like another poster stated it's your opinion that counts! Your the one who has to spend the money. If you are careful and really check out the seller you can get a authentic designer bag from E-bay for a nice price.

If you have the option, go look for a Coach factory store. I got a very cute purse that was originally $218, sold at the factory for $199, and on sale for $76.

That is so cool Coach gave you a brand new one! I love good customer service. Something you definitely wouldn't get from a knockoff store. I think they are worth it; I'm just cheap and can't fathom spending that much on a purse. I feel better if I'm looking at that money in my savings.

I'm not a fan of Coach, but I'm super pleased w/the quality and style of the couple of Coach bags I do own. In my opinion they are affordable for the quality.

I used to really really like Coach. Now I can't afford them, but some of them I have had for 5+ years and they are look just as nice as when I bought them. Good quality craftsmanship. I didn't know about the lifetime guarantee, I will have to remember that.

*pets Coach bag* I didn't pay full price for it. Second hand off Ebay. If you are decent at spotting fakes, you can get an awesome bag for pretty cheap on Ebay. I'm currently looking for a wallet.

I personally don't get the coach hype.

Why not spend money on something decent like Gucci, Dior, Prada or LV?

If you're spending $800 on a handbag, might as well spend another hundred and get a nice Gucci one.

The lowest I ever found a Gucci, Dior, or Prada handbag is $400- that's heavily discounted at Neiman's Last Call stores... The lowest price I've seen for a Coach for is $55 at thier outlet store, in thier retail stores handbags start at around $225. You're lucky if you can find a coin purse from Dior at that price, much less an actual handbag.

And the price of the luxury designer handbags doesn't nessacarily reflect a better quality... like I've mentioned, I ripped the lining of two of my Prada bags, one of which retailed for $700.
