    Default Help me exercise

I am back on Weight Watchers and the eating has been going really well but I haven't exercised a lot. I got spoiled going to the gym (45 minutes away) but since I haven't slept well in the past few days I definitely want to get back into the act. I just can't decide what to do. I have lots of options.

I'm hoping it'll make me feel less cranky and more sleepy. Also, my horoscope told me! It actually said to try to make it a competition... so if anyone wants to join in you should. Help me exercise girls! I need it!

I dunno but there is this channel that Cox offers called FitTV
    http://fittv.discovery.com/
and they have a belly dance show that has some pretty awesome moves for beginners. I like they way they teach it too. Its a good free option if you have cable.

I picked eliptical. Although now that I read your OP ...what are your goals? Lose fat? Gain muscle? Both?

Why is weight training not an option lady? Is it because the gym is so far?

If you're far from the gym or too lazy to leave your house some days like me just get a cheap weight set for home. I have one but it only goes up to 25lb weights. Good enough to do squats and lunges and arm work with.

Yeah I save that for the gym. I'm usually there twice a week. I don't think I can fit anything else in my room right now with all this crap, but I can do lunges and squats with my 8lbs.

I think any kind of dancing will help you tone up while doing cardio.

I voted for Belly Dancing. I just think it's so cool and sexy and mesmerizing. At the mall near where I work, there's a little shop that has a beautiful belly dancer outfit in the window. I always make a point of going by that place.

8lbs isn't going to do much for your body.

But, you can use chairs for dips, etc. Push ups, sit ups, crunches...you don't need weights to build muscle. You just need the know-how.

Hit your local library and look for books on training without weights.

There are some good ones that aren't insanely expensive! I happened to get mine as a steal from a friend of mine (although I had to pick it up) but check these out.

I demand that you tell me which one you got, use it for a few days, and then give me a report.

    I demand it, damnit!

-giggles- I don't know which one I got, I'm pretty sure it's the cheapest one possible!

But I'll give a report when I do have time to use it.
