They are going to set the tax for as high as they can.

Then wait around for you to go dispute it and if need be head off to court over it.

Apparently California likes Texas' latest strip club tax - they want one of their own. Along with additional taxes on alcohol, etc. They are contemplating an increase in state income tax (as if it wasn't too high already!)

Harvard's tweedle dee liberals are aghast that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is working a bill through it's legislature to tax their endowments fund. Apparently it is only OK to take money from other people.

As the economy creeps down to a crawl government will continue to expand it's spending pulling the money from each and any source they possibly can. Property owners (whether land or vehicle - this is fun: ) are kind of stuck and have no real voice in whether their taxes are raised or not.

The most important sentence in this link as far as why this bailout is being attempted:

If the bill is a bailout for anyone, they say, it's a bailout for communities across the country, which suffer when home values and property taxes go down because of foreclosures.

Last week I was kicking back on my patio, with my fat lazy cat sleeping beside me. Up comes a women with a blue shirt and black dockers pants. She looks official. She approaches and tells me she's with LA County Animal Control and doing a routine check on pets.

Apparently, there is a city law that says you must register all pets, indoor ones and outdoor.

    Right off...

"OK, you want $30 bucks right"?
    "Yep"

When the tax revenue falls, they enforce all possible fees that they never otherwise enforced. So, door to door ambush on pets.

Moto-x cops with radar gun in hand are everywhere.

Delay tax reassessments for real estate values as long as possible, because values are falling (a lot). Gee, make it harder and damn near impossible too!

    Etc.

agreed on 'sin' taxes and 'nuisance' taxes. However the tax revenue money being raised by tracking down some extra $30 animal license fees or adding an extra 50 cent tax to a pack of cigarettes doesn't add up to 'REAL MONEY' in line with the cities' / states multi billion dollar deficits. The 'real money' lies in increased property taxes, and/or increased income taxes.

'Real money' can also be saved by reducing public sector employment levels - such as laying off that official looking person going door to door in search of extra $30 pet registration fees. Cities and states are fighting this tooth and nail, because unionized civil service workers are typically one leg of liberal spending gov'ts voter support ( with the others being the uber-rich and the poor). Thus we're likely to see major tax increases before major civil service worker layoffs.

A few more things popping up on the radar:

    1) New focus on taxing people not wearing seat belts. Ah - I mean fining people for not wearing seat belts.

    2) Couple of states changed drunk driving from 0.10 to 0.08 - lower threshold for more money.

A tax increase that never is voted on, property tax increase. If you increase 100,000 properties and 10,000 dispute it and of those, more than half lose (not really, but you get the idea), you have made money for your township, city, county.

Yep! Last night, 2 cops were in a local intersection handing 'em out. Luckily, mine was on .
They are starting to get seriously fine-happy around here, in my mobile home park, except for the huge pile of my next door neighbor's trash, (who 'moved in' 6 mo. ago, & don't live there).

Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a genre of online computer role-playing games (CRPGs) in and which a large number of players interact with one another in a virtual world. As in all RPGs, So please try and players assume the role of a fictional character not and (most commonly in a fantasy world),and take control over many of that character's actions.MMORPGs are distinguished from single-player or small multi-player CRPGs by the number of players, and by the game's persistent world, usually hosted by the game's publisher, which continues to exist or and evolve while the player is away from the game.someone said that is a great idear, but i think it's a nice choose! why? because that and it's a best games items for mmorpg, and somefor games player not to be our best games, lol~ we should try and buy some also we can learn some to improve our games account! What? You mean pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into the hands of someone met on the internet named "Brad Longdong" might be risky?

Let me say this - typical Realtor these days.
