    Default Another "found" money thread

I just discovered $2300 sitting in a cash account for one of my online trading accounts. So, do I sink this into some stock (I have an absolute nack for picking dogs) or do something else with it.

My likely plan is to help pay down my credit card debt.

    Thoughts?

That would be hands down the most sensible thing to do. But it really depends on your whole life situation. Blowing it all on a great vacation might make the most difference for your personal happiness.

The market is volatile at the moment. If you don't wnat to take the risk of losing your money, just pay off the credit card, IMHO.

Take $500 and go to the club. Put the rest towards a CC.

What's the interest rate on that debt? Making suggestions without that info is kind of silly.

If the rate on that CC debt is one of those silly > 20% accounts then even the most agressive long term index investing is going to have a hard time beating it.
