    Default Dirty DJ patter

Does it really help your hustle? Just all the stupid crap like, "oh look at those titties....bounce em for me Destiny!" Or all the lame innuendo about how HE'D like to be [doing to you whatever the song lyrics are] [your thong] [whatever].

I guess maybe it's all more appropriate for a weekend night party atmosphere, when I'm not at the club....but do you think this really helps anything?

I think a good DJ serves as a medium between the dancer and the audience. Kinda like, he's one of us, but makes it look like he's one of them. So that everyone has a friend in the club.

A few good one-liner comments on a dancer kinda reasures customers that they should be watching and having fun. It can also give the dancer more of an oportunity to interact with the audience, smile and giggle and look cute or bounce around. So, yeah, I think that funny, creative DJ's help A LOT.

"shake those titties for me" and "man i wish i could fuck THAT!" are not funny or creative comments. i don't think funny and creative is what he meant. i dont think those comments make for a good dj.

I think the guy that tells the customers what he wants to do with the dancer, how he would like to be the pole (or suggests that anyone else would, for that matter), or personally asks the dancer to shake anything for him, should be dragged out of the booth and shot. But that's me.

I will do my utmost to extract the maximum erotic power out of the woman onstage, for the viewing pleasure of the customers, the confidence of the woman, and ultimately for my own financial benefit, but not that fucking way.

That kind of behavior actually, directly hurts the club, I think, by lowering the intellectual level even further, into the basement even if one doesn't exist.

Being humorous, making guys laugh, egging the dancer on, as Perry describes--these are good things. Acting like an asshole, as the OP describes, is well just acting like a fucking asshole, and thereby encouraging others to act like assholes as well, if only by imitation--not something that is really necessary or wise in the clubs...

IMO, a good DJ can really make a difference in your $. However, there is absolutely no way possible that we can expect our customers to treat us with respect if our co-worker can't bring himself to do the same.

So no, dirty talk from the DJ does not help us. At all.

My manager doesn't allow our MC (we dont have a dj unfortunately) to talk dirty. It's a gentleman's club. I have been described as "busty" but saying titties etc would not be tolerated thankfully.

If I ever say "titties" on the mike, I hope someone shoots me, for I will have become that which I despise...

It's not as bad as the "let's insult the customer for laughs" DJ. Especially when it's directed at the only one in there actually tipping. Oh yeah - brilliant.

One of my DJs says cute things for me like "Bringin you this young gorgeous girl Kira!" or "Look at those long legs! Make sure you take care of her so she knows you enjoyed the show."

I would be GROSSED. OUT. to have to nod and smile while a douche talked bout how he would fuck me or something though. Bleh!

Oh yeah, I hate those guys as well (DJs who insult customers). No fucking class.

Even in he case of the rude customer sitting at the rail not tipping, I won't insult him directly. Rather by contrast, praising the guy who does tip as being a gentleman, or going up there myself with a dollar if there's no one around and the woman is holding her garter open and he's sitting there ignoring her.

ETA One of the worst DJ lines, and I have heard this many, many times, is when he says "Hey ladies, I'd like to inform you the DJ will be available after work for partying!", or some variation on this theme.

First of all, the DJ who says that is invariably geeky looking. Like it never works.

Second of all, what the fuck do the customers care if the DJ wants to party with the dancers? If it's a joke (they always make it sound like a fucking joke, and it never works), it's not at all funny. If he's for real (which secretly the geek DJ always is), it will never work, so what's the point?

To answer the question, nah I do not. Stage tipping seems to be real, real optional in most places I've been so far....but hell yes a great DJ can make a difference in your money, just prob not specifically the things he says about the girl.

Altho it's bad when all you here is "The lovely Sarah! The lovely Michelle! The lovely Jennifer!" Ho-hum.

I've heard them play some song that repeats, "Hey stupid!" over and over for bachelor parties. Say, "Why the fuck would you do that??" or "This is the last time he'll ever see a naked woman!"

"The first time he's ever seen boobs... besides his sisters!" for an 18th B-day party.

"Let's see what YOU can do on the pole!" And play Sexy Back for groups.

They've also made the guys get on stage, drop down to all fours, while a girl covers his eyes, and another dancer poses in front of him wearing a strap on. Then they snap a picture.

And I've seen girls just beat the hell out of guys during special events.

Some of it is funny, some of it is lame, depending on how everyone handles it. Personally, if I were a 30-something guy having a 20-something year old DJ just call me stupid for getting married, I'd be irked, want to leave and spend nothing. If it were more creative, like the DJ that gets his fiance's name and fakes having her on the phone, well, that's a bit more light hearted fun.

This one DJ is actually good to some extent, he was trying to get people to tip and whatnot with pretty good comments, it was fine.

Then suddenly he said "IIIIITTTSSSS TITTY TIME!" In that deep announcer voice.

I laughed out loud. Really? Titty time? Seriously?

Then it was naked time. Which doesnt sound sexy in the least bit.

This is brilliant. Could you add the self-absorbed and self-aggrandizing DJs in love with their own voice to this list, dude? That would really help lots of us and much gratitude would be forthcoming.

Sometimes a dancer on stage has a customer remove her bikini top for her. A couple of times I've taken a while getting the knot out and the DJ starts ripping on me. "Is this your first time?" "Maybe you'd rather pull off your friend's boxers?" "Why don't you stick with the guys?" etc. One of these times was when I was literally the only one tipping.

I've also been called out by the DJ for being the best dressed guy in the place, although that's more of a weekend thing when the younger crowd is there.

I've heard tons of DJ complaining about the guys being away from the stage and not tipping, although at these clubs they make a tip walk after their set anyway. Usually gay jokes or general condemnation.

Yes, me sitting there pissed and stewing really puts me in the mood for a dance.
