Default "The 5 Types of Strippers"

Which type do you best fit into, honestly? I know they're stereotypes, but it's funny. I'm the Bait and Switch and never realized it. I know we'd all like to think of ourselves are the Perfect 10 or the Career Girl, but we all aren't!

#1 The Perfect 10, AKA The Pretty Girl
Could be new; could be a career girl. However, always totally gorgeous and has a smoking body. However, she gets by completely on her looks and works better as eye candy than as a lap dancer. Avoid this one unless you're at an all-nude, no-touch club.

#2 The New Kid on The Block
This girl's new to stripping. She's often very pretty and usually is working her way through college. Her inexperience makes her inconsistent. She can be good or bad, depending on the girl. She might be too nervous to give a good show, but she might be more adventurous and "go that extra mile." Take this gamble only if she'll actually drink what you buy her from the bar.

#3 The Old Gray Mare, AKA The Lifer
This girl is way past her prime. She may have been hot 15 or 20 years ago, but too many kids, too much drinking and too much smoking has taken its toll. The other girls won't tip her even if they're using your money. Don't be surprised if she's related to the club owner.

    #4 The Bait and Switch
Watch out for these girls as they cover a variety of demographics. These strippers are out for fast cash and don't have any regular customers. They prey on the new guys. Their m.o. is to promise or imply extras, especially if they quote you a specific tip amount, but never deliver. Test for this one by getting the $20 couch dance before buying time in the back room.

    #5 The Career Girl
Unless you're looking for a specific body type, you're going to have your best time with this girl. She's usually a 6 to an 8 - hot enough to fulfill the stripper fantasy, but not perfect. Realistically, they often have a boyfriend or husband, they're a working mother and a little older (late 20s or early 30s). However, she's got a stock of regulars, and she's figured out the biz. She knows how to show a good time, she's a good provider and definitely worth the money.

^ yes, esp when they say you gotta bring cash because the strippers will get pissed off because we all have drug habits or kids to support.

I agree with i.breathe.in but I picked the bait and switch because my success at work hugely depends on my mood (as opposed to my experience)

I think we should make a "Types Of Customers" response to them, with such categories as

    The High Roller
    The Penny Pincher
The What Am I Going To Get Guy
    The Drink Man
    Sweat Pants Boner Man
The Dude Who Will Only Go To VIP If His Friend Goes Too Which Makes Him Look Totally Gay
    etc

None of them even come close.

Surprising. They should've added the "nice girl who happens to strip" stereotype...b/c that'd totally be me. (or maybe that isn't a stereotype?)

I'm closest to the 'new girl' one...but I'm too reliable for that.

    Shrugs.

God, my regular made the funniest list of customer types one time. I'll try to find it and post it here.

I'd fit #4, except for the fact that I had regulars. I'd fit #5 too, minus this part "Realistically, they often have a boyfriend or husband, they're a working mother and a little older (late 20s or early 30s)."

Which type I ended up appearing to the customer, well, depended on how I felt that day and the customer.

Yeah, I feel I was right in the middle of those two, so really it wouldn't make sense for me to vote for one over the other.

That's not a category because obviously nice girls aren't strippers! Duh!

Okay, just kidding. None of them really fit me either.

Ok, I don't really fit any of them either.
Perfect 10 - well I'm the girl next door looks wise, so no.
New Kid on the block -been dancing a fair few years on and off, so no again
Bait and switch- nope, the bouncers joke about my fan club, so definately not me
Career girl - definately not, too casual and lazy for that one!

So I ended up having to tick the old grey mare although no-one with a brain really would.Theoretically my age says I'm past my prime but in reality I do make money, I do get a lot of compliments and my fellow dancers really like me, but I am the oldest in my club and know my stuff.

The grey mare description had no thought put into it and really contradicts itself- People in my age group NEVER EVER associate with bosses, or work for realtives(one of those generation and life experience things - never mix business with pleasure, there's a very good reason for that saying.)
The other contradiction is that to be a long term dancer you really have to look after yourself, and keep the body in shape and not destroy the brain cells with excessive alcohol.

Oh I didn't actually read the careeer girl description. (der) I expected it to be the dancer who is there every night.
I'll have to change my vote- to career- A Mum, rates about 6-8, got a stable of regulars. Does a whoppingly fantsstic dance AND still keeps to the rules, yep, yep yep yep.

    I'm like three of those.

I'm the career girl: "She's usually a 6 to an 8 - hot enough to fulfill the stripper fantasy, but not perfect. ... She knows how to show a good time, she's a good provider and definitely worth the money."

and the New Kid, since I'm still new enough that my earnings are inconsistent; I don't have the magic universal hustle that works in every city I go to yet. Some places, I top dog, some places I bomb out.

... I try not to bait-and-switch, I don't like heavy bullshit and I'm no extras girl, but you do what you have to for the money.

I'm closest to the career dancer, but I'm so not in many ways. I started dancing in college, finished that (and going back for additional soon!), do my career full-time, and still dance sometimes. I'm not married, though, no kids, and nobody in my personal life (except my boyfriend and best friend) knows I even dance! Funny how complicated we all are! I like that!
