    Default cut throat situation ??

Need advice here. (not rant, just explaining situation).

Two dancers I'm cool with are sitting at a table with three guys. I join them. We sit and talk for acouple minutes. Really great guy I talking with. He explains to me that he knows how this works and hes not going to waste my time, I'm his taste and he loves my personality. He asks me to have a drink with him and then go for some dances. (yippy!)
Then.. his two friends get up and say they are leaving and tell him to come on. (Oh No!) He tells them to go on and he'll meet them in a couple hours by the band outside. (its bike week here) (Hell yes! ditching friends to stay!)

Here's where it goes to shit...

Friends leave. Another girl (NOT one of the first two) comes and sits down on the other side of him. She starts to bitch him out about his other friend who was rude to her. He apologizes to her, says he just met the guy and the guy is kind of an ass, etc. etc. (at this time I have four girls until I'm on stage, stage sets are 6 to 8 minutes long). After about five minutes of this and me feeling very third- wheel by now, I ask her if she said anyting to the other guy and she says no, she was too upset at the time. I then tell her that he's not his friends keeper. She ignores me and keeps on bitching. (sidenote, I'm trying to be drama free and not get annoyed at work anymore, water on ducks back, woo-sa, kinda shit). She finally leaves (at this time I have one girl before I'm on stage). He turns to me and apologizes for that 'Springer shit'. Then tells me if I need to go work he'll see me later. (??!!??) I say I have to go on stage next, why don't we go dance when I'm done. He says okay. By the time I get off stage he's gone. Left. Buh-bye.

I'm pissed. I can understand if she was trying to 'cut throat' and make money off him, but this was just her fucking up my flow for her hurt feelings. Arrggh. I went to the manager about this, too much. He said he'd talk to her about it. Later in the night she got attitude with me. She was also asking other girls what they knew about me. She was asking some of the girls who I'm super close to.

How do I handle this? I want to knock her the fuck out.

Either be really, really nice to her or ignore her. Either way, it will confuse her.

In that situation i try to hand the guy a get out clause- interrupt at the start of her rant and say "sorry but he's just about to go for a dance with me' stand up and outstretch your hand.
Since he was interested anyway and is probably desperate to get away from the drama he would almost certainly accept the offer.

pinks idea would have been a good way to avoid all that but....eh who knows how much he would have ended up spending on you. look at it this way it happened once. confront her, in private about how she acted. she may appologize. if she does it again, then id kick her down the stage stairs.... but thats my childish way of handling things. then again if she doesnt appologize, and gets huffy and starts finger wagging in your face, then you get to knock her out. either way, win win.

Normally I know just how to handle this kind of interruption. It started off weird. She started with some shit about his friend dropping a $100 bill on his way out and pointing out a dancer who picked it up. I was confused about why she was talking to him from the get go. Also, we were waiting on drinks so I couldn't 'remove him' at that moment without screwing the waitress up.

like i said i would confront her so she at least knows you arent a push over. assert yourself. shes less likely to cause you problems then.

Sounds like she wasn't trying to cut throat you. Seems like a genuine situation where she was pissed at the other guy. You probably need to watch out for her now though, that's not something (IMO) that warrants involving the mgr.

She sounds like she is drama no matter what. I'd just try to ignore her and not get involved in her situations. I really also like Pinkpvc's idea.

Good that your manager was supportive of you - has he intervened in other situations where there's a conflict between dancers?

Not with me personally but yes. I usually address the person alone (so there's no need for proving themself) and directly (so theres no confusion). I havent had a reason for management to intervene.
If I confront her I'm going to be the bad guy. She's a sob story. Everyone feels bad for her. She's not confrontational in a fighting way. I am, but Im trying to be a calmer, better person. I'm getting too old for this shit, lol.
Last night I went in with the intention to ignore her. She stayed far far away from me all night so I didnt have to deal with her. Hopefully it'll stay this way.
