i think thats been posted about on here before. its a shame something like that needs to be thought up.
sadly by the time a guy gets that on his cock she has already been raped and assulted. not much of a preventative.
Okay, that is FUCKED UP!!
First of all, it only alledgedly works once penetration has occured. So, now this guy is penetrating you and in agonizing pain? The idea is he will just pull out and crumple into a ball.
Oh, my gosh. This is creepy and weird and not helpful. Buy some pepper spray ladies.
yeah, i can only imagine that it would give a false sens of security to the girl, and the rapist would end up beating the shit out of the girl in the process of pulling out.
that is really bad

I could never wear that around. It would make me more paranoid.

I don't think it's very practical for every day use, but I kinda like the idea. I've had friends at work get fingered by customers and they deserve to be speared.
Is it bad that I find it weird that they're selling advertising space as much as the condom?
People are not ruled by their memories.

I think the whole thing is weird!
In the faqs the designer states she has never been raped, which is bloody obvious because anyone who had been raped would find it cold comfort that the dude gets to commit the assault before any sort of repellent occurs.
Suggests wearing it on first dates and so forth, wouldn't it be better educating people to avoid situations in which rape might be possible rather than arming their vag with latex teeth to bite the dudes penis?? As amusing as the concept is... oh and I love that she suggests it might be useful to wear when shagging your partner if you are in an abusive relationship, yeah that would go down really well with a violent partner wouldn't it?

I think Im right is saying that this was invented in South Africa, where in some areas of the country the rate of women raped is 100%. The national rate is not that high but it is still very high and I think that would put a different perspective on things, especially as many of the rapes are violent anyway. Not that rape isnt violent to begin with but were talking about some severe additional violence too.
I saw a documentry on this not that long ago and I think for women who I live in an area where the statistics suggested there is a high or definate likelyhood of them being raped yes its perfectly understandable to be thinking about using this.
Edited to add: For the average woman I think its a bit over the top and doesnt need to be promoted and pushed on us all. But I imagine it has its place at the back of the drawer for some people to whip out on occasion.

Cant even wrap my head around the idea of KNOWING you are going to be raped one day eventually, just for being a woman. What a fucking horrible place we live in.

looks like something that would just injure the women, instead of doing much to the would-be rapists.

agreed... i could see a lot of rapists becoming VERY violent after this. if a woman is restrained in some way and the few seconds that this might buy her to escape are useless, she's now trapped with a hurt, angry, violent and unpredictable guy.
not a good idea.
While it might seem like a good idea to the inventors to make an example out of a few men who get their dicks caught in these bear traps, I think that considering the culture in which they are trying to implement it, they might just be causing more harm to the girls than good...
If youre in a culture with 100% rape or near it, then you obviously have some serious problems with the objectification of women, and if women are so ill-treated, whats to say the men doing the ill-treatment are going to think anything of retaliating in horrific ways....and I mean outright slaughter.
Making men afraid of women's scary biting vaginas isnt a way to heal deep-seated abuse and inequality. In their minds, it will just make the women evil.
And, as you all said, the harm is still inflicted, its not like a woman is going to just lie there and go "Oh just try it, I dare you - *snap* - oh you in trouble now!"
No. No no no.

I think it serves a greater good, but in a culture where people go to witch Dr's and believe they can be cured of HIV by raping young girls (virgins) how long before enough of the bushmen etc get their dicks caught in these traps before they go on saying women are witches and give more "reasoning" for female circumcision?

Please remember Africa is a continet not a country. Youre talking about vastly different cultures here. Female circumsision is generally not practiced in South Africa or any of its neighbouring countries.
Bushmen are also a minority South African group and traditionally as far as I know not known for agressive behaviour.
Thanks for pointing that out... South Africa is a relatively developed country btw everyone...![]()
Either way, I remember a thread on here earlier that pointed out that the man would have no choice but to remove it by seeing a doctor. SO, that gives a higher rate of catching rapists, AND he would have to be suffering EXCRUCIATING pain until he made it to the doc. Probably enough to get his mind off of abusing a woman.

Sorry guys![]()

Lol yeah... *corny music* The more you know!

I knew when I posted it that bushmen weren't roaming South Africa but I got caught up in the "thought" that I didn't even think to mention "well what if ALL of Africa catches on and tries to use this device". which is what I meant but failed to say lol. Go figure.
