hello! welcome to SW.
if you use thew search function you will find numberous topics on austin.
have fun!

Yellow Rose and P10 are supposed to be good.
Sugar's wants experienced dancers? I've never heard of any of the clubs giving a damn before.
P10 had a make-up artist last time I was there. It's been a couple months, but he is probably still working there.
P10 is the only place I've worked at in Austin, it's a good club but it's pretty big (for Austin standards) so I'd recommend maybe trying it out during the day or on a slower weeknight to get your feet wet. Stay away from Joy, I went there for a night and hated it. What part of Austin are you moving to and do you want a club close to where you are going to live or does a little driving not matter?

Palazio is in south Austin. Wait, you're the Asian chick that posted pics in the other thread, right?

yes i am
^ Ummm, yeah. You can work anywhere. I'd recommend perfect 10 or the yellow rose. I've never been to the rose, but I hear it's nice. Have you been to any of the clubs in the area?

Last I checked, P10's was short on Asian girls, and there are always customers who have an Asian fetish. Get to work girl, there is a market waiting for you.
^ Yeah, there aren't many. There is one tiny Asian girl there who does very well and has lots of regulars.

It's been back and forth at the Rose lately, money-wise. Slow season, like everywhere else. They've been making a lot of effort to clean up the club though, which has had some impact on money.
There's a make-up artist at Yellow, too. His name is Corey, but he tends to leave a little early, same as Boy. His make-up style is a little more glam than I remember Boy's being, and he also does hair.

Talon!!!
Bumpin' this thread because I just moved to Austin a week ago. I only started dancing about 4 or 5 months ago in SC right across the GA border, and I enjoyed it (more for the club being so awesome than the money, which wasn't great - combination of slow business and me being new and having no clue), but I'd decided I wouldn't do it again once we moved. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find another club with such a great working atmosphere, and I was worried that my boyfriend might start to feel weird about me dancing (much as he insisted it was okay, I always got the feeling that it did bug him a little bit).
However, I'm broke as hell and can't start a career relevant to my degree here in Austin, and the thought of working some dead-end job in retail/business/etc is making me SICK, so I'm seriously considering dancing again. For all intents and purposes, I'm still a total newb - I'll admit that I'm not bad at all when it comes to lapdances, but stage is another matter. Anyway, I was thinking about Expose since it just so happens that it's super-close to where I live, but I was wondering how things work there and in other clubs you would recommend... is there scheduling or is it pretty open? Is there a dress code? What are the rules as far as dances go (touching and such)? Are extras prevalent there? What are the customers generally like? How are the house fees and all that stuff? I couldn't really find any recent in-depth information like this on Austin Clubs - most of the threads are 3+ years old now and pretty vague.![]()
P10 is pretty laid back. awesome lay out in the club.
can't remember the fees but they're pretty low.
not much extras (if any) because everything is so open.
twenty dollar dances on the floor and back in vip which is the only bummer--
no blocks of time.
they serve food which is nice.
I paid the DJ twenty to get offstage (though you're technically supposed to pay the house) because I wasn't down with the stage pretty as it was, and at 20 a dance I wanted to maximize my floor time.

if you are close to expose then palazio wouldn't be out of the question either. Personally, if I had to work at one or the other I'd go to palazio

I'll just visit them all and take a final decision around November or December.
And yes, I'm reviving all the Austin threads.
