    Default moving, do I have to re-register my car?

    My husband and I have our cars registered in ID, we are moving to DENVER for maybe a year then back to ID-Do we have to register in CO?

    We will be in Denver for 12 to 16 months then returning to Id. Thank you in Advance for your Answers.

    I think you have to but sure on DMV stuff in other states. You could just google the DMV website for you area if that might help.

    Probably. Check with the CO DMV.

    I know in CA they want you to register pretty quick, like sometime within a month or less.

    yOU are supoosed to but if you just make sure your ID registration doesn't expire then you wont get in trouble. TBH I would wait until your current one is gonna expire before switching.

    Yes, I know you have to keep your ID up to date for your address and car registration in NC and I am pretty sure that is a nation wide thing. They give you 30 days to update all of that. It isn't really a big deal, they will never know, even if you get pulled over and they ask if it is current just say yes and that you are visiting family/friends. That is what I have done everytime I have moved.
