I've taken to a sort of expiramental shang-hi technique. Thanks to a little attitude adjustment *no comment* I've become massively more cheerful and friendly and to some extent ballsy. This means I find myself holed up in the back far more than usual. I tell them dances are $20 per song, but if they're letting me do my thang and not requesting I stay in a certain position the whole time (Mr. "Oh I just love your back...stay there for the next three songs!" yesterday...my forearms cramped like a motherfucker.) I can usually make it worth their while to toss in a little extra. I feel wierd asking outright for more, besides I dunno what the policy is and the only club rule I blatantly shatter frequently is the "no phones on the floor" rule.

thats a great idea. i'm going to have start doing that![]()
i just say i charge x out here and x in the back where would you like your dance at we can do it either place. as long as you state the price up front and are confident when you say it you should have no issues. if your charging way more then the norm, then you may have some trouble. i usually only have 1 or 2 a night that say no but you knwo they are cheap anyway, and would only get one or 2 dances at regular price.

the way i used to do it, and it only works in clubs with a high number of out of towners (vegas , ac) is they pay the door guy up front for the dance and when we get to our seat i say "slide me a 20 before we get started" i say it with confidence and i usually don't get a question or an argument but they just hand it over. it only works in certain clubs but in them it works like a charm
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?
I work at a $10 air dance club where the VIP prices are exorbitant, and I'm actually wondering about this, too. I'd be a much happier dancer if I could make $15 or $20 a dance, or at least ALWAYS get 2 dances. $10 is shitty.

I always discuss money upfront. I remember when I first started dancing at this one club, the girls all charged $20 for regular VIP dances, and that just wasn't gonna cut it for me. I would only do dances for $40, and my first guy I got in VIP gave me HELL about it. Well, he wasn't rude, he just said "All the other girls charge $20" .. well, I'm not the other girls! I just kinda brushed it off as the song started, but unfortunately he didn't buy more dances. I wish I had some cute thing that made guys feel better and spend more, but I try to do all the charming before $ is brought up so they are just ready for the naked lady and not as concerned about their wallet.
