    Default elephant dream

I dreamt of a bunch of elephants in a square white room. They were facing away from us, some with their heads in empty closet space. One or two looked at us, somewhat derisively, seeming annoyed. A friend and I talked about taking some with us as pets or family members but we realized they were pretty physically big. The elephants were actually quite small though.

    Anybody want to interpret that?

I found the following somewhere random on that great big WWW and it looks interesting. I went googling for elephant meanings after I woke up this morning.

"Elephant as totem animal is a powerful guide. "Those who have the elephant as totem will usually find themselves in a position where the opportunity to reestablish family and societal ideals will occur. Mutual care of the young, respect for the elderly and the sick, being strong in your own self - these are the foundations of a great person or society. If elephant has come to you, you will have the opportunity to work toward establishing this within your own life or the lives of others. If elephant has come to you prepare to draw upon the most ancient wisdom and power. You will have an opportunity to either help yourself or others reclaim your most primordial royalty."

Are you contemplating becoming a Republican? Hehe, I have no clue in formal dream interpretation, but that was the first to come to mind.
    Elephants - republicans
    white room - white house

Do you want to get back together with your family?
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

Interesting interpretations. No family issues to speak of, and I'm definitely not a Republican! LOL.

So there's an elephant in the room? You know the saying. Maybe it's that.

That actually makes sense. The elephants represent issues. And the size of the issue is a large one to tackle, but still achievable (where you realized they were actually quite small). As for the directions the elephants are facing, that might mean the stances that different people take, as in their method of dealing with things. Some will be in denial, some are ruffled (annoyed) by the concept of having to deal with these issues...

You seem to have a pretty close connection to nature, Brodie--I wonder if it has something to do with that, with your concern for nature, and wanting to save it. There has been a good deal of information in the press about elephants, lately--perhaps you saw a documentary clip of some elephants or the article in the newest National Geographic (on creating sanctuaries for them), and they became a metaphor for you.

Amazing, these things we dream. That's a very interesting dream.

The Dreammoods website is not the last word on dream interpretation. I guess that's because I don't like dream diictionaries very much. I like Christany's interpretation best of those above.

An elephant often represents knowledge, caring for the family, remembrances, powerful and maybe friendly influences. Several of them represents several issues, maybe like many things you have forgotten, ignored, or not cared for. Possibly those with heads in empty closets represent knowledge you had that turned out not to be useful or wrong or didn't deserve your care. Those looking at you unfavorably may mean you're ignoring the knowledge, caring, or recollections they represent. The others not in closets or lokig at you will talk to you in subsequent dreams in some way, when you are ready. The last part to means you want to deal with these things; even though these may be big issues, you believe you can handle them.

I'd need to know more abuot the meaning of this friend (such as age, sex), but it sounds like something inside you is supporting this action.

This may not be close, since I don't know you, but I hope it gives you some avenues to explore.
