Does anybody have one? Or any experience with Infiniti for that matter. I want a used one, around 2004 or so, I've found plenty that are in the price range I want to spend. They seem like good cars, but I'd love some personal opinions! TIA![]()

Nice car. Thats all I have to say. Sorry, I've never had an infiniti but I know its best in its class, like, every year.

I have a 2001 Infiniti I30 with 130,000 miles on it and I love my car! It handles well, rides beautifully and looks great. When I take mine in for service they usually give me a G35 as a loaner. It's nice, lots of pep although I think it's kinda small.
I would totally get another Infiniti, I like the M. Happy car shopping.

Emily had one, traded it for her prius. And lemme just state for the record, the Prius is a better car. all around. ESPECIALLY in this economy.
Love it!
Here is CR's report summary for a used 2004 G35 FWIW:
The rear-wheel-drive G35 replaced the G20 for 2003. It has a strong 3.5-liter V6 and an exceptionally smooth automatic. Routine handling is agile, but emergency handling can be tricky. The ride is well-controlled and the cabin is quiet. Starting with the 2005 model year, the G35 was available as a coupe or sedan; the sedan was available with all-wheel drive. Reliability has been very good.
And u can go here to see recall info ( They also should have the crash safety info on the same site):
NHTSA
And here for TSBs - those are service issues but are not yet recalls:

^ Thanks!
I've still got a few months a quite a bit of research to do before I get another car, but the info has been very helpful!

I think it's a good car. Solid choice.

Infiniti is the shit!!! My favorite cars ever. Besdies Aston Martins, but I've never had the chance to get my hands on one of those. I've owned one, a '97 Q45 in pearl white w/a black bra. It was my first car, got it when I started dancing. I miss it so much, I'd love to get the G35 coupe.
Here's my baby;
He's dead now though. I didn't know much about car maintanence at the time so after a year the engine blew.![]()

Yeah, it's fun to drive, but it's a gas guzzler! I had the 2005 G35x. But if you're a driving enthusiast, a BMW 3-series is considered better. I'm not a driving enthusiast. I just drive to get where I'm going.
I never really liked the interior either. Looked cheap for a "luxury" car.

Love love love Infinitis!! I have three friends who drive new G35s. I was looking at buying one for over a year. I decided the brand news ones were too expensive, especially since ones that are two-three years old look the same on the outside and are just as nice. Also, if you are looking at luxury cars, compared to Lexus, BMW, and Audi you get the same stuff for less money. Hooray!
I'm shopping for the perfect used G35 right now![]()

^^but this is a thread about G35s, right?
I do love cars which is a reason for not just getting a honda or something. If I'm putting a huge chunk of money down for it and paying for it every month, I want it to be something I love.
As for the BMW, my husband took over the lease of a 2004 BMW M3 convertible which I am able to drive every day. We still have my old '98 honda accord, but when I get divorced and leave I wont be able to take the BMW. After driving the M3, I just really don't think a 3-series would do it for me. Maybe I'm just weird, but I'd rather just go with something totally different.
ETA: Very pretty car Jessica!
