I don't know what you mean. Like, if the club's normal price is twenty dollars, what would you want to deal it to?
Frankly, most dancers HATE people who try to make deals. We usually do a dance for 20 dollars a dance. If you want to pay more, that's fine too.

Like if for example dances were 20 and some of us try for 30. Provided the customer isn't being tricked into thinking that everyone is dancing at 30 wouldn't this be okay?
Um.. you can charge whatever you want, really.
If you can get away with charging more, give it a shot. Just be careful when the next girl sits on his lap and says $20, you may have some pissed off customers. Don't count on management to back you up on that either.
i always say I charge x out here and x in the back not the club price is x. so as long as you tell them up front and aent trying to rip them off your good.

^^^ Ditto. At my club you get fined for trying to charge extra. The line "tips are always appreciated" delivered with an out-stretched garter works well too, but doesn't always bring in the $$$

Thanks for all the tips. So it really varies by club then. The key definitely seems to be being upfront about it and not misleading.

I wouldn't do it personally. If the customers catch on, you look bad, and the club looks bad. Guys talk to each other about clubs, and these days they visit sites that rate clubs. Or they blog about them. Word gets around.

I hope you're not implying charging different prices for different "extras".![]()

If it's a mutually agreed-upon price, what's the harm? As long as they know up front what you're charging I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Some clubs might try to make a big deal out of it but as long as the customer is happy and not feeling ripped-off (something you reinforce while and after dancing), he shouldn't complain.

it depends on the club. you will absolutely get fired for this at mine if you're caught. doesn't matter if you're charging more or less.
dances are 20.
if a dancer charges a customer 30 and then he hears the dj saying they're 20 or another dancer says 20, it could become a problem for management.
and the girls get pretty pissed about other girls cutting deals on dances for cheap.

I just hate it when girls (occasionally with saggy asses) undercut dance prices. I couldn't really care less if you want to charge more though
Dances at my club are 15 pounds, (sorry GBP key on my computer is broken) If a guy has a 20 I'll say, I don't have any change but I'll give you a longer dance for 20 so I get to keep to the 5. I think this is faie enough. Sometimes if a guy wants 2 girls we'll charge 20 each as hes getting a lesbian show too but thats the only dealing I'll do. If a guy found out he was buying a dance for 20 when everyone else was paying 15 I think he'd be pissed off and that might get you in trouble.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Price gouging is a big no-no at my club. Girls can get around it by saying something like, "Dances here are $xxx, but people usually give me $xxx." with the second figure being the higher number, obviously.

some girls will charge more because they "do more" or "go farther" with their dances than other girls. I think that is what Mare meant.

Hmm at our club right now there's a 2-for-1 special ($35), but i made a couple of harmless adjustments. For example, i've had men hand me two twenties because it's easier, and instead of awkwardly discussing "change" or convincing them it just should be a tip, i told them I'd grant them a little "extra" for their $5 ("extra" being an extra ten seconds of the next song, that is), and they've been pretty happy. Another man gave me a $20 for a single dance, which was fine with me.

...There are also shades of dance intimacy in any contact dance. I've never done this personally as Portland is not a contact city, but in other posts here I've heard of the hustle: "$20 for a normal dance, $30 for a BETTER dance." Where better is a little more physically 'friendly', still not involving extras. Implying a higher level of effort or intimacy. Or, in clubs where the nudity level is variable, charging more for taking off more clothing, etc...

I actually think it's illegal to overcharge where I am from which is rather silly since we are independent contractors. I think that lawmakers think that if we overcharge we must be offering illegal services.
