I have Verizon wireless and was wondering if there is any way I can block
incoming text messages from certain people?
I can't change my number. Thanks for your input ifyou know anything about it!

I wish I knew. I keep getting people to send me FWDs and its annoying.
I do not want to pass on text chain letters and jokes. It costs money!

i think those things were created by text companies. a drain on the alottment so you get overages on texts you actually used.
I'm not sure about verizon, but I have AT&T and they have a service called smart limits that allows you to block numbers...I had to add it to my service because a crazy custy got my number and i didn't want to change my #. Anyway, I'm sure if they do verizon will too. The downer is that it does cost money tho.

I have ATT. I keep getting unsolicited computer-generated texts of gibberish. I've been to the store and they've been unable to stop them. The only way they say I can totally stop them is to disable the text function entirely.

Does anyone know if you could block them on T-Mobile?Can't change number either.
To block text messages from an unwanted number, perform the following steps:
1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in. For more information, go to How Do I Log In to My T-Mobile?
2. Select COMMUNICATION TOOLS.
3. Under RESOURCES, on the right-hand side of the page, select Create email filters.
4. Select CREATE FILTER. A Create/Edit a new filter form will become available here.
NOTE: If either radio button is set to yes, Customer Care will not be able to reset your My T-Mobile password should it be lost.
5. Depending on what needs to be filtered, select the appropriate items from the drop-down menus and type the information.
6. Click Save.
- To block a specific address use the From field.
- To block a specific topic use Subject.

Off subject but I just have to say:
Sending those forwarding texts is so fucking stupid! I live in a small town, about 175,000 people. Monday, some idiot texted their friend that there was some awful shooting at Market Street United and on a highway nearby. The text said something about a woman and her toddler being shot in their car, and this 'sniper' was killing tons of people. I never got the text, but it was literally buzzing around town. I had a meeting at my dayjob, and that's the first place I heard it. My bf heard on the radio, a police chief telling people to stop texting because it's not true, nothing at all of any consequence happened all day long!! But the lines to the news stations and police station were tied up for hours due to people inquiring about this crap.
Forwarding texts is so stupid!!!
Except really really good jokes!

at first when i put the phone numbers in it would not accept it, then after about 4 tries it seemed to have worked.
now hopefully i will never get annoying texts again!thankyou!
