Thumbs up Dominatrixes - tell me everything about your job

I had a co-worker a few years ago who did it on the side who really got me interested in it and today I found a local dungeon that is hiring. I think it would be a job that I could be good at and would be therapeutic for me (overcoming shyness and reluctance to ask for what I want, etc - the way stripping helped improve my body image)

They will be conducting phone and in-person interviews later this week, what kind of things do you think they will ask? What are they looking for in a candidate? How should I conduct myself?

After I successfully interview and get a job what is the training period like? How soon after will I be making money? And the $100-$300 an hour quote...what is the "mileage" difference between the two? What is the most sexual thing I will be asked to do as a Dom (I dont want to be a Sub or Switch)

Tell me everything about your job!
What do you like about it?
What do you hate about it?
What do you wear to work?
How would someone who has never done it know if they would like it?

I loved being a Domme and would really like to get back into it. I definitely became more assertive and it helped me to be a more efficient stripper; I can't really specify everything I liked about the job, I just loved it overall.

I didn't like the no-shows. A LOT of people book sessions and never show up. That's extremely irritating.

I'd usually just wear something black, skirt or pants, maybe a corset if I felt like dressing up. It depends on your style. For really hardcore subs you can just wear your street clothes (like jeans and a tight sweater) because they know they're there to serve you and you can wear whatever you want. I love those guys.

I got a lot of sissies who liked to be dressed in drag and called girls and stuff, but the most common request I got was for golden showers. They made me more money, so that was fine with me. For those you just belittle them, spank them a little, whatever, and piss on them (usually you piss on their faces, sometimes on the dick, and they like to drink it while you pee). I don't get it but if they're paying me hundreds of dollars to pee, sure, why not!

They will ask about any experience, and if you have any dominance in your personality. Most of the other questions will be basic job questions, no sweat. They're going to want someone who can learn fast, can conduct themselves in a safe manner, a professional attitude, and the ability to overcome that shyness of yers Training is going to be an eye opener. You're gonna see things you probably don't even know exist. Don't let it get to you and you'll do fine. Watch everything that the pros do, and the hows and whys. I don't know why they're using a pay range and not a base rate but I assume that it's because basic stuff like spanking is $100 where as needle play and the more advanced stuff costs more. That's the only thing I can think of. Sexual? A proper dungeon won't ask you to get sexual. You might have some strap on play there, depending on state laws.

Being a domme is not for the faint of heart...or for the lazy.

I can't tell you what you're getting in to...but if you have a personality that would allow you to be a priest, coroner, chef, child care provider, beautician, pet trainer, actress, lawyer, man, woman, czar, and demon...all in the same 15x22foot room... then I highly recommend it.

It's lucrative, rewarding, and kind of just nasty.

One thing I have found after all of these years as a Mistress is that you will definetley need to keep learning.
I have found in my experience once a submissive client becomes attached to you they will come back to you for years, so it is imperative to keep learning and exploring new ways to do things.

There are so many ways to do things, like bondage, etc and it all has to be safe and hygenic.

You will also become a keeper of some of peoples deepest secrets and fantasies and then you use that knowledge to create the journey you take them on, the way you want to do it.

I have always worked for myself so I am not certain how houses od Domination really work but I would definetly ask alot of questions about how you are paid, if you get to keep your tips, what is and isnt allowed etc.

It has been very financially rewarding for me but in the same breath , I love how AmberHoney said it..you are all of those things and some days more..

Best of luck with it, it can be very empowering as a woman it was what helped me immensley.

I just googled Milwaukee dungeons... are they illegal here or something, bc the only results I got are from the newspaper about people doing this out of their homes and getting busted by the cops?

They are illegal in a lot of places. I suggest emailing someone from the local dungeons if you can and ask.

I love to be a ProDom and that is Me, period. When I started stripping I was also starting BDSM but at the end I hate most of the stripping business, at least in my country, where customers are allowed to touch at least, and nobody seems to care about art and real dance. So, when I tought I had enough "lifestyle" experience, I became Pro. But as said by Xotic you have to learn a lot and keep learning all the time. Safety in the first place. Technique of using toys. And of course how to manipulate things to get his kinks developed and be, at the end, on Top. Besides you may find some things that can shock you at first, wondering how the hell somebody may like them. But if you have something in your heart to be a Domme, you will be happy. Good look!

A friend of mine did it for years, Ill ask her about it when I next see her...She has some hilarious stories!

Once we were in a bookshop and she saw an autobiography by a very high profile police chief (you know, a kinda spokeperson,on the news a lot). She picked it up and thumbed through it, then said very loud "well, this bastard hasn't said a THING anout me whipping him!!!" In real genuine shock.... Odd lady...
