Default product RAVE (my fave "new" thing)

so i'm usually not big on lip stains, but i recently bought the vincent longo lip and cheek gel stain in liquid kiss and .... holy crap

i think this is going to be a staple product for me. you only need a tiny bit, so the price isn't bad, and it looks very subtle but amazing on. it looks like my natural lips (i picked the color closest to my natural shade) only it makes them pop more and fillls in the lines. it also gives them that slightly bitten look (if that makes sense).

it's also super idiot proof to apply and doesn't smear. oh and, if i add gloss over it, it still doesn't smudge or anything.

    have i said enough?

    Two questions:

    1. Does it not bleed?

    2. Where did you buy?

oh, here's a pic... but keep in mind that it's my webcam (which is 5 years old) and the lighting in my computer room is shit.

so, it REALLY isn't a good pic.

im not wearing gloss or anything with it either, and ive had it on without touch-ups for maybe 6 hours now. i've eaten a few times..

and if you didn't know previously, my lips are normally a reallllly pale version of that color. the stain makes them look a lot fuller because it evens out and darkens the tone a bit.

and i'm not wearing a liner or anything in the pic.

Have you used it as a cheek stain yet?

i actually just did (to try it out) a couple hours ago. i didn't think it would work, but it does. it's very subtle and natural looking. i'd stick with a powder for more dramatic results or any sort of sculpting, but it looks great for that natural glow (i just got laid) look.

    heh

    *edit*

i will note though: in case you havent noticed, i'm VERY pale. so, it doesn't take much color on my cheeks for me to look flushed. i imagine someone with darker skin would have more difficult... although they do make a darker shade.

that looks really great, and after eating a few times too! nice. i've been going a lot lower maintenance lately, and that's going to the top of my shopping list.

thanks for telling us about it!

your lips remind me of a preraphaelite stunner painting. which translates as hot.

Dumb question: how is lip stain different from lip gloss or lipstick? Yes, a lot of makeup stuff is new to me.

does it have a taste to it (like a waxy lipstick taste)? (hate that)

    it has no notable taste.

and CS: a stain is kind of watery in the tube. when you put it on it dries "staining" a thin layer of color your lips. some of them (the ones i used in the past) didn't dry enough and just became a bleeding mess. this biggest diff i find with this one is that it doesn't bleed and looks very natural.

Lipstains are awesome! Better than any longwear lipstick I've seen since they're so light!

This sounds like something I would use. I can't stand lipstick, so I use a lipliner with a brush plus chapstick of some kind because lipstick gets messy and is too thick.

^ you could use a light liner with this too if you wanted more definition. i don't think it -needs- it, but i might try it just to see.

i don't currently have any non-bright-fucking-red liners though.
