    Default failure

So I'm out of town for a week. I was planning on doing 6 days in a row of 10 hours each. I knew it would be painful and I knew I would hate it but I figured "short term pain, long term gain." Trouble is, I just can't do it. It's day 3 and I had to go home. I feel absolutely terrible. I can't even dance let alone hustle. I've only made back my expenses so I've basically made nothing. There are still 3 days left. What do I do???

Suck it up and work. It's not always fun to go to work, but stripping is a job, it's not volunteering!

Once you get to the club, you'll have to do SOMETHING, I'm sure the club won't just let you sit on your ass. Just go like you're heading to a party and that vibe will rub off on the customers you talk to. Before you know it, your trip will be over and you'll be a few bucks richer. Besides, how do you know Richy Rich isn't coming in tonight and looking for a girl like you?

Even if you don't make billions of dollars in the next three days, making more than your expenses makes the trip less of a waste. And you never know the luck you could have.

    What she said!

And also, definitely just go in and TRY to hope for the best. Even if you don't expect to make a lot or don't even have the energy to put much into your hustle, just BEING at the club makes it more likely that you'll make any sort of money.

Are you taking vitamins? When you wake up in the morning, do some yoga, have a super-healthy breakfast with lots of carbs and protein and a multi-vitamin and spend the rest of the day, pre-work treating yourself like the goddess you are. You'll feel so much better when you get to the club.

    Oh, and enjoy your trip!

QFT. When you do these hardcore work weeks, you have got to take care of yourself physically first. Out here, on contract I can work as many as 14 days on with one day off for 13 weeks straight. All 8-10 hr, shifts. I could only do it if I pace myself on my off time, eat healthy as much as possible and drink a ton of water in and out of work. Try to find a store that sells boxes of EmergenC. Its sort of my suppliment of choice.
Find a nice, quiet place to relax during the day and get into work and bust ass at night! It'll be over before you know it! You're hardly a failure if you've already covered your expenses.

Thanks girls! I definitely couldn't work yesterday. I was shaking and trying not to cry the entire time. I went home and slept 12 hours straight so I hope that helps me. I'm going to suck it up and do a half shift today.

I took some No Doz the other day and was up and energized for a while. Has anyone else tried this while working several days in a row?

No Doz can give you heart problems. I just use the 5-hour Energy Shots.

I'll take Hydroxycut to give me a jolt while I'm working longer stints. I wouldn't take NoDoz.

TBay is HARD. Seriously NewMoon don't let it get you down. Lots of damn good girls have gone there and crashed unable to finish it.

We call TBay boot camp lol.

Doing 4 stage shows at 17min each PLUS hustling the floor 10 hours a day isn't easy if your not used to it.

Hell I can't even do TBay as a showgirl lol, I will only go as a feature so that way I don't start till 6pm, leave and come back for my 9pm show. Yea I suck. I can't handle the floor time that the showgirl shift requires.

I recommend just pacing yourself. Take it easy during the day and wait till night time to hustle your little butt off. The tickets they give you are awesome, use them to your advantage. Its easier to sell tickets at $1 a piece then it is to sell dances at $10.

I know its the end of the week, wish I saw this before. Anyway hope your week picked up.

Where you are is one of the most difficult gigs I know of (of 6 years, 5 countries and 75-100 clubs). So, you're not a failure. TBay isn't for most people. I don't think it's for me anymore, either. The amount of money you make can be very good, but hourly, you're still making $100/hr or less.

Most weeks I'm there, I have a freakout on Thursday and contemplate changing my ticket and going home, lol. I've done it enough now that I know I wont, but...lol. It's very common. It is my opinion that girls who work TBay share a unique bond in knowing what it's like to work at the most undefineably frustrating bar in the world, lol.

Any person who works out religiously will tell you caffeine is a BAD idea for long stints of physical labour. You get a high but its not nearly long enough and you crash. You need to work on your stamina first, which is training your body to work long hours. You need to eat healthy and lots of carbs and vegetables. Otherwise you'll have four hours of energy and be dead on thr caffeine.

Hey, I thought you did pretty well! This was a pretty frustrating week, and it's not hard to tell who was selling the most dances, right? Don't feel bad. I'm sure we're the same insofar as a lame-ish week there means way more appreciation for the money here. It reminds me why I shouldn't be lazy. Haha. Thanks for coming and keeping me from going off the ledge this week. I hope I didn't scare you off from any future travel!

^^It's a possibility. Stage doesn't bother me as much anymore, and I really feel terrible telling my parents I've quit if I still dance in the city. I'd rather make dancing an out-of-town, once in a while thing. Plus, lapdancing is really starting to bug me. So maybe! I told him maybe.

If lap dancing is bugging you then for sure come out!!! You can come work at SIN with me and you can sell side stages. They're super easy to sell there PLUS if a guy even looks at you funny hes tossed out. I love SIN lol... its so my bar. Seriously girl you need to come play with me in Winnipeg I'll make sure its a super fun easy time for you!
