Default Old school hip hop and alternative?

I don't know, it seems like everyone always wants hip-hop.

But what about those guys that don't like it? What about you? I love hip hop as much as anyone, but not the generic stuff you hear on the radio. I want Ice Cube and NWA circa 1993, and 90's alternative, maybe some tool or a perfect circle, smashing pumpkins... I even love The Faint, but I have to bring in discs and beg to have them played... heh and usually it's a hit... I guess I'm the weirdo at my club, haha! But hey, when you're different, people notice

Though I must admit, it's hard to find a DJ at my club that will play it for me. *tear* I only know one.

I bet you could get away with SOME early hip hop on late nights, because the crowd will know it. I don't know about NWA but Ice Cube "today was a good day", Naughty By Nature OPP would probably go over well too Same with early DR Dre & Snoop. Otherwise you might have to dance to stuff like Wreckz in Effect, 69 boys and N2Deep. (which are fun) I found in most clubs the Dj's will say "If I can play it in a night club I'll play it here". I think youd' get tipped well to those songs because everyone remembers them.

And early alt that you mentioned minus the faint ( I swear to god dj's fight that ) shouldn't be an issue...like Bush, Cranberries and Tool. In fact I'd be super surprised if they didnt' allow it. It's staple music right now. Kinda like Hair metal was 5 years ago.

^ digital underground (but close lol) I totally forgot about that song though. There's a few songs on that CD that most Dj's will play.
