Did you pay to join the site? I looked up my own name in the states I've paid taxes in and I'm not even listed. Similar names to mine are listed but its a wrong initial. How do you know for sure that the name that's listed is even your info? Just wondering. It just seems like a scam.

I searched for my name and found my name, several cities I have lived in, and my boyfriend listed as my roomate/possible associate.
Uhm I found my name, the previous 6 cities I lived in
Under Relatives it had:
My moms name and age
My dads name and age
My brothers name and age
and another variation on my moms name
I dont know where they get their info - i got that with my free search just a few minutes ago... im not signing up. Im just wondering what more info they give when you do.
It also said it has 6 phone numbers for me... ive had my cell # for 5 years so im sure its there...
I also looked up my ex and it has his 3 previous cities and family member names linked. Its no scam. I just want out of their database.

Nope, nothing on me. And I've pulled some shit in my day! Maybe I just lucked out. It is pretty creepy though...

Yah I found my name and my dead brother and grandma's name, along with some random but similar names.

Ack!!!!! Holy Fuck!!!!!![]()

I'm not on there. Super Creepy though.
ETA: I did just find my mother. It shows my dad under her name plus the last place my family was stationed in the military. Creeeepy.
Oh, and I also just found her under her old business's name. Ahhh!
Is anyone a member of this site?
Im trying to contact my ex in CA. He has a semi common name - there are 3 definate listings which could be him ad several more which dont specify age. I dont want to pay to join though (-:
Im thinking about it - just to see what paying people can see. I have a unique name so when you type it all that pops up is me... lame. My next kids going to be John Smith...

This is really disgusting, especially for women.

I'm thinking about paying to be a part of it too. The site is squicking me out. I looked up my roommates name and came up with both her parents' names, her brother's name, PLUS her half sister's whole name.
Audrey, or anyone wants to go halfsies on registering for the site, I'd love to, PM me.

wow..wtf?!That pulls up my whole freakin life

My name pulled up two cities I've lived in and relatives' names. And supposedly criminal history, but since I'm not a member, I couldn't see details. Me no likey.

Its not theirdatabase, they're pulling the info from public databases. Things like utility records, real estate transactions, court filings etc. Their are other sites offering the sane services for instance http://find.intelius.com/
Pretty hard to live nowadays without leaving some trace.

The thing is it is not their database you are in. It is the result of the digital age. It is an aggregate of databases. Ever own a home? Your in there. Driver's license? In there. Credit card? In there.
It isn't that this info hasn't existed for decades. It was that it was in little pieces, in lots of different filing cabinets. Then in lots of different computers. Now networks allow all these bits and pieces to come together, be cross indexed and collated. NOW, in these cross indexed and collated data bases, the picture of YOU, made from all these previously disjointed bits of info now coming together in the same space and time, is surprisingly [and frighteningly] accurate.
With the right access an experienced investigator, like myself, can put together a complete dossier on someone that use to take months in just a few minutes.
For someone who use to do it old school it is nothing short of amazing.
There are ways to get some of it removed from the various databases, but not all of it. Some of it is public access, by law, and will remane so as long as the laws remain as they are.
Fiat justitia, pereat mundus.
BTW, while we are on the subject, is it needed to point out the obvious: That it is just possible that if you are willing to judge the worth of someone simply by what you read on a website about them it might say a whole hell of a lot more about you than it says about the person you are judging?

WHOA wtf I looked up my mum and they had my STAGE NAME AND REAL LAST NAME as a possible relative. Plus ALL her addresses and businesses and maiden name. O_O

Interesting. The spelling on the suburb I lived in a pseudonym since it was too long for most entry fields.... I think they got my info from things I purchased. Because my REAL name isn't in there at all. Just my stage name an an odd spelling of my address I used to do.

This is so weird! They have almost everywhere I have lived EXCEPT where I lived the longest (South Florida). Weird.
My brother is deceased and they have TONS of separate listings for him in like 10 states.
My sister has the most unique name and they only have record of the town where she was born. Lucky.
Makes me sick.
I dont like that one bit.
wow....i dont like all that info being so readily available!
Now I'm worried that a dancer license would show up in one of those searches?? If someone subscribes, please let me know!!
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
I'm in there. Creepy.
ETA! I found my mom!!! Too bad it's all REALLY old info....
