basically, just part your hair in the middle take the front middle section of hair as much as you want. brush striaght up with hairspray, twist at the base of your head push forward and secure with 2 bobby pins in an x shape and a third in the middle. spray with hairspreay let dry and if you want to make it bigger pull it out just a bit.
also, dont forget to blend the ends down with your other hair.
Thanx i. breathe.in, that sounds simple enough, I'm just hoping that my hair blends well with the extensions in the hump.
You mean like this?

I didn't think that was what you meant, that's just what I pictured from the thread title.
Thought I'd mess with ya.![]()

Yea you mean a pouf? lol. There are a ton of tuts on youtube (love that freakin site) not that hard at all!
IBI posted a great description.
Oh, I thought you were kidding, but I wasn't sureI was laughing so hard while trying to find a pic lol.
I would get a back comber. They work fast and easy for the "poof" . Its only like 2 bucks at sally's.
the tutorial is great, I don't think it will be hard at all, I am so excited because I ALWAYS wear my hair in the same style, but I really want to try something different.

Wow, it's amazing what all is on youtube. I would have never have thought to look up hair tutorials.
i wish i could pull that off i look so wierd when i pull my hair back...

Oh my gosh if you want to know how to do almost anything...I am sure there is a tutorial on youtube....LOVE that site! Maybe that is why people stay inside these days too much crap online...

You have to back comb /tease it until you form somewhat of a "bird's nest" then you comb enough hair straight over it to cover up the "nest".
Wow, thanks for the youtube link... I'm going to try this soon! I have thick Asian hair that has trouble holding (didn't used to be this way, but hair pills, man) and only bobbypins, but I love how it looks on other people.

Love this thread! I've been doing it wrong for a loooonnng time. i.breath.in gives a fantastic explanation, and the attatched you tube video tops it all off. I tried it and it works great--only took about 1.5 minutes. Yaaaayyyyy, I'm so excited now! Who knew that a pomp could make a gal so happy, haha?
glad i could help![]()
