    Default Sugar vs. Spice

How many of you have experimented with different personas? More specifically, what generally brings in more money for you- being a "good" girl, or a "bad" girl? A little mix of both?

I find that it's easiest for me to be vapid and giggly, but I've also been dressing in sweet floral prints, and my name is "lily" for christs sake. It might be a little much, almost obnoxious.
I'm thinking of trying something, i dunno... nastier.

If I'm in a bad mood or really tired then I'm not as nice, I can be quite standoffish but sometimes it works for me depending on the crowd.

I do it all the time.

Bridgette is the french hardcore hustler of the strip clubs who gets the job done but is fun. (Guess where I got the name from to be in character?)

Lizzie is the cute bubbly girl with a lot of personality and fun and games.

M is the sultry sexy seducing type.

I find Lizzie makes the most money.

I think it all depends on how you look. I can sort of pull off the cute-little-girl thing.....but nowhere NEAR as good as I can pull off the bad-girl sex goddess. I'm curvy and grown-up looking as opposed to looking like a teen/young 20s, so it serves me a lot better.

Hahaha, when I work I actually channel my avatar Jessica Rabbit. When I talk as LITTLE AS POSSIBLE I sell the most. Winking, facial expressions, the way I walk and dance, speaks volumes over anything I could say. I try to make it a sensual experience for the guy rather than a conversation. Sounds corny but once I get this Youtube shit working I can post a video!

Do you ever have regulars who only "know" certain personas, and then you accidently mix it up with them??

I've always wanted to try this and find out. Something I have noticed since I've taken my extensions out is long hair is usually associated with 'sexy' 'hot' etc. and short hair with 'sweet' 'cute' 'innocent' etc. But then again I've been told (with my face absolutely plastered in makeup) the oldest I look is 25. I'm 19 and w/o makeup look 15. lol

Right now I'm going for the super sweet bubbly "everyone's best friend". It's working moderately well, but I am not as aggressive. Sometimes it works, sometimes guys fall into the "friend" zone (AKA dance death!).

I'm a Lily too! Bubbly, freckled, a little silly, with a lot of eye contact and a thick Southern drawl. I can't do sultry, I just can't, but I make a lot more money being cute than I did when I tried to be hot.

I totally agree it depends on your image.

Because of my exotic or dark looks I liked to portray the sultry sex kitten persona, with a bit of girly cheekiness thrown in... I noticed that was what the patrons expected of me and it made me the most dough!

I have always dressed in mainly black, playing up my "exotic" look and looking sexy vs. cute. But when it comes to personality, I sometimes change things up from being really nice/accomodating to being more aggressive. I used to always be really accomodating to customers, waiting if they wanted to wait for dances, talking/smiling alot, acting like I cared about their problems. I would then watch other girls not be as nice. Don't get me wrong, they wouldn't be "mean," but they would push customers more to get dances and not smile/laugh as much as I did. They did just as good as me, if not better. I then tried that tactic. It def works better for me. I'm guessing it's not so good for establishing regulars, but I wouldn't know since I barely ever get regulars anyway.

Sort of. I used to talk like that normally, but I haven't lived in the South since 2002, so my accent is mostly gone in normal conversations. It comes back on its own when I talk to other Southerners, when I cook, and when I flirt. For some reason when I get to work it just switches on, and it takes a couple hours after work for it to die off again.

Men love a good Southern drawl. It's non-threatening and it makes you seem more feminine and old-fashioned, which makes them feel more intelligent and manly by contrast.

They really do! So I discovered in Guam quite by mistake, but so glad.....it's so ridiculous. One night after a 21 y/o Air Force kid didn't want to get me a drink, I said, oh well sweetie. Where are you from anyway? He already knew I'm a yank, Jersey Fresh Bitch (and that is always my persona at work) He said Arkansas, and I said, cuz I was really bored, in a southern accent, "Oh really? My name is actually Miss Pearl from Miss'ippi, I just pretend like I'm from NJ, I taught myself how to talk normal, I've been watching a little too much Sopranos, *giggle*"

And then I walked away. And then 15 minutes later he came up to me, on his own, and proceeded to drop $200 over the next 1.5 hours, telling me after a dance "that was southern hospitality." I actually started to feel bad that I kept the lie up all nite.......but after that night it was ON! I'd have guys knowing I'm from NJ, but insisiting I talk to them like Miss Pearl cuz it was sexy. They would buy me drinks or dances and say it was bc of the southern thing.

    LOL nice alaska.

I usually have a LITTLE bit of a drawl when i hustle. WHen i lived kinda down there, i picked up a mild drawl, and the infamous 'y'all'. So i use that, but its not really particularly noticeable. Maybe i should play it up more.

But then, my usual persona is more towards sultry/domme. So i have that little drawl as I'm commanding "y'all KNOW you want me all to your self" and dragging them in back.

And hte nights I've done best, I REALLY play up the domme. Usually I'm pissed off, so i come in to work and are like "FUCK YOU" mentally. Not saying I'm rude, or that different, but I have a chip on my shoulder like WHO the fuck CARES who is or isnt tipping me its their loss and i won't waste my time. SOmehow i guess that translates as sexual energy. Maybe its the strip club equivalent of angry/makeup sex. I need to workon tapping into this more often. I have a blast, and everyone LOVES it.

Oh, and my stage name is a term from Opera, so its definitely not the "lizzie" thing. I think its a little more sultry dirty socialite who is here because she likes the thrill. Who knows.
I've had three cups of tea, i think the caffiene is getting to me.
For some reason tea does that but coffee doesnt.

^^^ "Y'all" is plural. Don't ever use it in the singular, or real Southerners will know you're faking it!

My Domme persona makes me money as a Domme but not at work. I'm not sure why. I guess it's just not what the strip club customers want to see from me. Easily impressed and big blue eyes serve me better at the club.

Its not even a faking it thing. I picked it up in north carolina, in a more rural part, so the dialect was a little weird. Like it was halfway to the true drawl, but there were some differences. Its gotten less pronounced in my speech since i moved away from there, but the y'all still creeps up without rhyme or reason.

For some reason, the people there used y'uns in the plural, and y'all any other time.

It was quite cute, but took some getting used to. I just don't think y'uns sounds sexy though.

Oh yeah, you'uns. That's an Appalachian thing. I've never heard y'all used as singular though, except by Yanks who don't know any better. That's a new one on me. I agree it's a lot sexier than you'uns though!

Heh, your good! I was up in the appalachians! Its the only place i've heard the y'all in that use. I never got the impression it was an abbreviation like the way its spelled. They just sort softened the You into the y'all type thing, not a real defined L at the end... but it confused some of my classmates who from other areas in the south(virginia, Georgia) and took them a bit to get used to.

    Its definitely a dialect.

Man, now i want to write this out in the IPA to figure out how to describe the differences i mean.

When I'm too sweet, it's easier to say no to me...If there is aslight aggressivenes s or pressure, the guy feels like he better act now because I won't come back around if I don't make the sale (or that's what he thinks, although I only come back one more time if they're still 'settling in' and only to say, "Let's go!" otherwise, nope!

I adapt my personality based on the customer. I can be sweet and caring girl next door, sexy and sultry, or take control dominatrix. I always start with personable and confident then try to figure out what the customer is looking for/what they'll be most receptive to.

When dressed in black or red, or outfits that appeal to men with fetishes, ie stockings/ something pvc'ish I think I do a bit better. At least it seems I'm approached more when I wear stuff like this.

I usually try to base my personality on the customer I'm with.
My look is pretty adaptable, so I pull both off decently, but I feel more comfortable being the giggly girl next door. I make more money that way, I think.
