    Default Mystic Tan Levels

I called 2 tanning places around me and asked if they have different "levels" of mystic tan. One place said no and the other said they have a "clear" and a "premium (which costs $3 more)." Is it worth it to buy the premium, do you think, from experience? I've never done MT before.

Yes buy the premium. I have done Mystic a billion times....the one time I didn't do premium I seriously regretted it. My damn tan washed off in about 3 days, as opposed to 5-6 with the premium (I take 3 showers a day so it washes off faster for me). Its really worth the extra couple dollars. Plus it will make you darker than the regular MT

3 showers? You are a clean person! lol

Thanks for the advice. I figure if I'm paying alot already for this type of tan, I might've well go ahead and pay $3 extra for it to be the best.

At my place the levels correspond to how dark you want to go. The higher level costs a little more I suppose because it uses more of the active chemical. In this case, you'd want to buy level II or III if your goal is to be pretty dark.

Dont do level 3 right off the bat though...I used to work in a tanning salon and the SURE way to look orange is to get too crazy in the beginning.

If you are very pale, start with 1, then go to 2 and stop. If you're naturally darker, try 2 then 3.

For reference, I used both regular beds and MT to get my color in the avatar and never went past a level 2.

    That's what my place does.

I'm a redhead, so I'm pretty fair and I started with a level I and it made a noticeable difference the next day. Then I went up to a level II for a few weeks and I've tried the level III once and I don't think it made that much of a difference but at that point I had already been doing mystic once a week for 8 weeks so I was probably just used to the color. Try it, it couldn't hurt

i was going to say how long does mystic take all of you to wear off? for me the last time i used it a couple years ago it came off in a week, and was patchy coming off.

any tips to get it to wear evenly off or to maximize staying power?

    ^^^

To maximize staying power, moisturize your ass off. And make sure you exfoliate REALLY well before you come in to have it done. And don't shave a ton.
