Default Ever had a customer break down crying?

Tonight the two customers I had were very drunk. They both almost threw up in the booth. The first was on the verge of passing out and the second, whose friend paid me up front for an hour, was sobbing on and off during the hour while telling me about his life. All I could do was try to comfort him and rub his back, poor guy. He was crying so hard his nose was running, and my bandana had to be a makeshift tissue. Oh my gosh! Then, when the night was over, and the lights were on, the friend that paid, and wasn't in the booth, tried to follow me up to the change room while trying to coerce me with money to go out to eat with them! After repeatedly saying no, even if you offered me a million bucks(he offered a thousand), I've got plans, the bouncer had to take over. Just wow!

So happy to be at home, with my dog, and my drama free life!

What would you do, or have you done when you've had a customer break down and cry?

^ I had almost the exact same experience, except switch "almost threw up in the booth" with "threw up in the booth".

Ugh! Poor you! So glad I didn't have any contact with vomit tonight. I actually asked both guys repeatedly if they were ok, and how they were feeling, and got up when the one said he thought he might be sick. Even ordered ginger ale, and water for him, and made him sip it slowly. I've been pretty lucky to have seen so few people throw up considering my lengthy dancing career.

Only once, and he wasn't drunk, and it was for a good reason, and he was someone I'd met before. I just hugged him and let him cry. A crying drunk, yeesh, I don't know. I so don't feel qualified to handle that.

Poor guy probably just needed to talk to someone.

I remember back when I was working stage clubs this guy wasn't very into the scenery there. I talked to him a bit longer and he tells me that his two daughters just died in a car accident and wanted a place to get his mind off of things. I would have called BS but he started crying. He wanted to be alone then I wished him a good night and left. Within the hour he left the club.

I didn't mind, the night was just a little overwhelming. As far as the guy that was crying, he kept saying that he was so embarrassed, and I would say there's no need to be, and rub his back, I mean when you're drunk it's easy to lose control of your emotions and feel the need to cry(I've been there). He was a young guy having major relationship problems with a manipulative, crazy girlfriend(that he lives with and needs to get away from), his father had passed away(not sure how long ago because I think he was confused, either recently or years ago), and he feels so sorry for his mom, as well as feeling like the black sheep of the family. I gave him the best advice I could, based on what I've been through in the past, but wish he was a stronger, more proactive person to help him deal with his current relationship situation.

Took his email, and want to send a quick message but am reluctant to get involved at all because he could be a bit crazy, and even if he isn't his live in girlfriend is. Should I wait to see if he sends me an email, or is it harmless enough to send him a quick thoughtful message? Am I silly for not just leaving work at work?

Yeah I was lapdancing for a girl that keeping asking if I would date her, but she wasn't my type so I said no while trying to keep the dance fun for her--but she started crying over the fact I didn't want anything more then my tip and to dance for her...

Oh well if you can't handle rejection and paying to be teased stay away from strippers. That's what we do.

Crying - yes, (semi-drunk, and over a bad marriage)
Almost throwing up - yes (he luckily made it to the bathroom)
    Passing out - yes
Fainting because of getting drunk and being a diabetic - yes

    all during lap dances.

Maybe I'm too nice but I don't see anything wrong with wanting to extend a little compassion to another human. In case though if he gets weird just end contact.

Yes, he said his daughter had just died. He kept crying, then falling asleep, then trying to lick me during the lapdance. He was super smelly.

After the first lap dance I ever did the guy started crying because he felt he had cheated on his girlfriend. The worst part is we had to go to the ATM in the club afterwards so he could pay me. His friends were waiting nearby (the ATM is near the door and they were waiting for him so they could leave) and he kept choking back sobs as he took the money out of the ATM and his friends just stood there in silence.

I had a guy whose friends paid for a half hour, but he left crying after about 10 minutes. Turns out he lost his job and his friends were trying to cheer him up, but I was a little paranoid until they told me.

At my first club, a man dressed in hospital scrubs came in one night. He seemed a little crazy, but in a good mood, and spending well.

He stayed for about three hours, then told my friend and I that he had lost his first patients that day, a laboring mother and the newborn. He started crying then and quickly left. We both felt terrible, but we had been having a good time before that, so I hope we helped distract him, at least for a little while.

Yeah I've had quite a few guys cry on me. I'm a horrible listener and really don't know what to do when people I don't know cry. I usually just start ordering shots.. change the topic.. try and cheer them up somehow.

Many times... I have a lot of military veterans that will recount their war stories to me and cry on my shoulder in VIP. I'm such a softy that I'll usually end up spending WAY longer than I should consoling them. This past weekend I had a guy whose grandfather was recently murdered. I've had a prison guard who was held hostage in a riot (and shanked!), a guy whose wife and son died in a car accident, etc. They're usually NOT drunk when they start crying with me.

I don't know... I'm used to it. Ever since I was little, people have always "opened up" to me, even when I didn't necessarily want to hear it. So it's not really a big deal to me anymore.

I get a lot of people telling me I should go into psychology. I always tell them the same thing: "I just don't like people enough."

Contact me for a psychic reading or spiritual advice!
I can contact all my exes at once by drawing a pentacle on the floor, sacrificing a ram, and shouting "Hail Satan". Convenience is a must.

Seems like clients that open up and cry are much more common than I thought! These are some pretty sad stories coming from these men. Life is tough sometimes! I wouldn't have thought someone that was grieving and hurting would come to a strip club, but I guess for men it's a good place to try to forget.

Just once when a guy tried to grab my boob and I screamed, "No! You are not allowed to fucking touch me!" loud enough for half the club to hear. He was sniffling and misty-eyed and apologizing the for the rest of the whole angy-half-assed air dance.

    All. Of. The. Time.

The worst is when it's a regular who's crying because I feel more of a need to comfort them.

Yes! And I used the situation to my advantage.

I banked and he walked away feeling comforted. It was a win win situation.

Yes, twice. One guy got a dance and then afterwards started talking about his family and where he grew up. He then started talking about how his family didn't have very much money but always made a way for them to have a decent Christmas. Then he just started balling. Very awkward.

The other was a club regular, who was doing the whole 'nobody likes me, this is so fake, why don't the girls treat me like a person,' shit. He rarely spends any money and is in the club like every day. He started crying and saying he wasn't coming in anymore. MMMM okay good riddance. He came back the next day of course.
