Default Certain Type of Shoe - Durable or not?

I was thinking of purchasing a certain shoe from the Pleaser line. I've bee non the hunt for some affordable clears for a while, but regular clears (with a wide band of clear plastic across the toes) give me bad corns on my little toes. So I was looking at this shoe:

Then I wondered if the straps would rip from the platform as easily as the regular clears do (as I would go through a pair in about a month, easily, with them ripping on the ankle support strap near the insole). Has anyone owned a pair? I am fairly rough on my shoes.

I have found Pleasers to break and/or wear out quickly. In my experience Ellies are far more durable.

Ellies die hard and fast for me!

I've seen women wear similar shoes, and their feet usually end up swollen and sore because all the different straps tend to cut off circulation.

Maybe look at a shop that sells to drag queens so you can get a wider shoe?

I have the Pleasers in 4.5 inch, silver.
They are the MOST comfortable and are padded with cloth so you don't slip inside your shoes when you sweat. It also gives you a cushion. GREAT straps, ankle support, etc. I swear I could walk miles in them.
I found the 5/6 inch to rub my pinky toe, and I developed a corn.
I've been wearing mine for 6 months and the only thing that has started to happen is the studs wrapped around the heel are SLOWLY starting to unravel. But nothing a little crazy glue can't fix:

They probably have a very similar style in clear.

I'm not sure if I've had the Pleasure brand, but def had a similar looking, strappy shoe. Mine lasted forever...actually, I could still wear them now if I wanted to. Only thing stopping me is they lost their shine and I got tired of them!

Just make sure the straps go over your feet far enough down to your toes....okay hard to explain, but basically, I got this pair of shoes over the internet (cover something brand...not covergirl...or maybe it was...but no relation to the makeup). Anyway, hot shoes, but my toes would be pushed down and out of the strap at the bottom due to the incline and constant wearing of the shoes. Instead of having a dainty, cute looking foot, I had toes that were just CLAWING over the top.

I do have those shoes and they are my fav shoes. The straps have not ripped off or anything and I have had them for a little under a year.
FYI the heels are silver and have little rhinestones on the back, which fall out. The rest of the shoe is clear.
I also used to have the same problem with clawfoot, but I purchased these SUPER cushioney pads at my local dancer store, and haven't had a problem since. The shoes are really comfortable with them in and my feet stay put. (The come in a green box that says "Halter Half Souls")

Well that's weird, I guess I have slightly different ones. Mine are these http://www.snaz75.com/pl-adore-746.html in clear. Looks almost the same, though.

Pleasers are very comfortable, but the ankle strap did rip after about 3-4 months. I ended up getting the same pair again, though, cuz they are so comfy, and I can already tell the strap is starting to stretch out of shape after less than a month.

I tried a pair of those same shoes on once .... it was horrible, I didn't find them comfortable at all. I dance really hard though, so I don't think I would have lasted an hour in them.

I used to swear by Pleasers when I started dancing... but their quality seems to have gone down as the years go by. The elastic stretches out really quickly and whatever metal bits that are supposed to reinforce the straps quickly break through the cheap plastic. I've never had that particular style from them, so that's the only info I have to offer.

I've never been a fan of strappy stripper heels. Heels that I've bought that had straps usually break fast on me. Someone made a good point about all the straps cutting off circulation. I think that would be very possible.

I noticed this. Some girls I work with still have Pleasers from years ago, while mine last a month. I am particularly rough on my shoes though.

Try Ellies then. I have Pleasures from years ago of course now I wear them maybe twice a month. Takes me about 4 months to go through a Pleasures pair. I'm not hard on my shoes though. I only wear them because they fit my skinny feet.
