    Default Mutant lettuce

So, like a month ago, I bought some cut and washed lettuce in a plastic container to make a salmon sandwich with. I made the sandwich and it was delicious, and decided not to throw away the lettuce in case I want to make another such sandwich later. But, as the world turned and the planets revolved around me, I wasn't again hit by the hankering for a salmon sandwich for some time.

So a few days ago I took the lettuce out of the fridge and was very surprised to see that it was green, crisp, and totally fresh - a MONTH after I bought it. I left it out of the fridge, meaning to throw it out on my way out, but kept forgetting.

It has now been 4 days that the lettuce is out of the fridge and it's as green and crisp as ever!

Tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, grapes - these have all come and gone.. But the lettuce just refuses to kick it.

Dood- I kept a head of cabbage in my fridge for like, 3 months for my hamster and even when I decided to throw it out because it was just SO OLD, it was just starting to wilt. I guess I thought of that because green cabbage looks like lettuce... ok.

Creepy. I woudl leave that shit out and just see how long it takes to die. If it's still alive in a few weeks...make a shrine. Or donate it to scientific research.
