    Default he rocks my socks

i love my husband so much.

this ENTIRE weekend he came into my studio to help me build my walls and put up drywall. this was so hard on his back. towards the end i could see the pain he was in, but he kept mudding the drywall. his head, neck and back were all hurting real bad, but he didn't really let me know till we were almost out of mud. the right side of his back is so swollen.

i love that he took his whole weekend to help me with this (after my friend bailed on me who said he would build them for me weeks ago ).

i'm gonna go in tomorrow and finish taping/muding what's left and sand and remud the dry sections so i can get ready to prime and paint so i can get those damn floors in, which i'm sure he'll be helping me again with.

tomorrow i'm gonna give him an awesome back massage with some cinnamon massage oil. he's had back problems since he was 19, but shit like this just aggrivates it, so i'm doin this for him after the kids go to bed. i should have him take a vicodan before hand, then he'll get super loose.

any tips on items other than my hands i can use on his back? it's mainly his mid-lower back right next to his spine.

My ex was in carpentry, and had back problems.

Thats really sweet of your hubby to help! The best advice I can give him is to do some warm ups/stretch out, watch technique when lifting things, and do hot compresses and epsom salt baths, and an antiinflamatory(ibuprofen or naproxen) to help manage swelling and pain.

Mind you, you've met me, I am no dr. So take it with a grain of salt. But good luck! I can't WAIT to see the new st udio! I'm all eager and psyched for you. When is it supposed to open? What type of poles did you end up getting for it?

    THANKS!

I was going to have the grand opening on june 14th, but i'm stressin out, so i think i'll have a soft opening first and have the grand opening party june 28th. so we'll be open by mid-june.

yes, i got a stinkin skinny pole..just for my girls like you who prefer it...i grumbled about it, but there were enough girls requesting it i went ahead and got ONE. lol so, half brass half stainless are the poles, with one pole being a skinny pole. the poles themselves are over 11ft, but there is 10 ft of clearance.

    i'm stoked!!

If you sew you could make rice bags. Think bean bags (small 4x4 inches or 6x6 inches) filled with rice instead of beans. You put them in the microwave for 2 minutes and you have a nice inexpensive, and reusable heating pad.
