Default Club size and today's economy

I'm looking for a new place to work over summer (spending the summer away from school), but there are only 2 clubs nearby: one is a little dive bar that's 10 miles away, and another is a medium size club that's 40 miles away.

Since I've only worked at a medium sized club before (off and on for a bit), I would go for the medium one here - except that it's 40 miles away. And with gas prices and car problems, I really don't want to drive that far each night. So I might just check out the littler place.

I'm wondering a) who's worked at a really small/dive club before, and what do you like/dislike about it (I found this thread http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...club+size+dive but I'm looking for new insight)

and b) with the economy going down the shitter and all, would it be really hard to make decent money at a small blue-collar place? or would it not be much better at a medium club? I'm wondering if it's even worth it to go back to right now.

Oh, and by describing a club as small/dive, I'm not trying to say that all small clubs are shady or sketchy (I guess I'm using 'dive' here to describe a club that's not a top rate club, but not skanky or nasty or anything).

You'll never know til you try so I say try both clubs... BUT...sometimes girls who work in dives do remarkebly well, the same way that small corner dive bars stay open for fifty years and clubs close every three. Sometimes they get a more loyal clientele who ALWAYS goes, no matter the economy. But sometimes, those guys are just loosers who want to drink beer. Really, go feel them both out and let us know

I'd say it also depends on location, if the dive bar is out in the middle of nowhere it may not get as many customers. Say the medium one is in a city somewhere, it's more likely to get more customers. I think it all depends on where you are.. Does that make sense?
