Default NYC Ladies help me out!!!!!!!!!

    Hey everyone....

I need 2 things from you NYC Ladies!!

    1. Tell me where to shop in NYC for stripper clothes. I'm sick of gowns and need some cheap-whore type clothing for my new club! Woohoo!! No budget limit really, but I won't pay for overpriced mediocre crap.

    2. Tell me where to shop in NYC for ....how do I explain this.....regular clothes that actually fucking FIT. Dresses, skirts, regular ol V-neck TIGHT FITTING tops. Why can I not find this shit anymore? All I can ever find is maternity shit, like all the women in America are suddenly pregnant.

I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING LIKE THIS:

    http://www1.macys.com/catalog/produc...tegoryID=37783

    OR THIS

    http://www1.macys.com/catalog/produc...Type=EverGreen

I like my clothes as PLAIN as possible. No loud prints, no maternity designs. But I want them to be sexy. Like, a v-neck shirt with a tinytinybit spandex in it to ensure it fits every time. Yes! That's my style.

Budget: It doesn't have to be cheaply priced, as long as its good. I'd spend up to $50 on a shirt if I REALLY loved it, would be happier spending around $20-30 though. That being said, I refuse to spend more than $100 on one item unless its a dress!

    Can anyone help me out?

for stripper clothes try places like DVD Depot on 46th and 8th, kinda creepy but some good finds upstairs. other similar places a few blocks up have good stuff too.

i would suggest looking online at www.americanapparel.net and they prob have some locations in the city too.

    good luck girl!

As far as normal clothes go, I can't really help you. I'm hating the trends right now too but they are everywhere.

Maybe just go to the big Macy's in Herald Square. At least they'll have variety.

    Macy's sux IMO.

There a store that's great for strippers in the Chelsea area. I bought a gown there and apparently a lot of dancers go there. Where is it? I have no idea exactly where but there are like 3 stores next door to eachother that have lots of brazilian type wear.

Regular clothes: Stay away from the major chain stores if you want to find items that actually fit and aren't too boxy. I got a few things at a store called Meridian on 34th & 6th. I pass by the store every week so, I've actually been getting several things from there. Lots of stuff in stretchy jersey. So it clings correctly.

Just walk all over the city (I prefer lower Manhattan) and keep your eyes open. You'll find stuff.

I like Beacon's Closet in W-burg, Bklyn too. You have to hunt but the prices are great (used clothing, lots of designer stuff, dirty cheap).

OMG, you all are awesome. I'm seriously going to make a list of these places and go shopping, maybe on Monday or Tuesday! I don't feel like going all the way to Philly, since NYC is closer and I've never been shopping there really!

I wouldn't go to macy's for stripper stuff. That wasn't what I meant. But now that you mention it they do have some cute lingerie sets that could be good for stripping.

L'Impasse on 8th Street (or L'_____). Take the A/C/E/F/V/B/D to West 4th. Exit @ 8th Ave. Exit station and walk twds 8th Ave. Turn right and walk some more. There's a store called L'_____ on the right a block (or a few) down. There's another store accross the street on the left that has stuff for work too. Pricier but HOT.

^^^Hot? More like nuclear! I love that fucking store. (Limpasse)

The store across the street is named Versailles. Do dancers actually wear those gowns at work? Wow I don't think I've ever seen a gown under $800 in that store. I feel in love with a black mini dress covered in Swarovski crystals that was $900. Expensive- but whoever wears those clothes would be breaking alot of necks all night.

LVL X is always good for the tight fitting stuff. There is one at Queens Plaza (great mall if you haven't been, 4 floors with Guess, Bebe, Coach, Armani, MAC, Godiva, Macy's, H&M, Forever 21 plus lots more) and in Jersey Gardens.

Also Mystique Boutique in Soho and on 5th Ave a block down from the Empire State building has form fitting clothing. I think it was you who likes Guess in another thread so if you know where the Guess store is in Soho (the best one in the city IMO) the boutique is next door to it, that is how I found it.

Also on Fulton Ave in Brooklyn there is Expo 2000- huge store with bags and shoes, a few stripper bikinis and clothes for clubbing and regular days. The clothes are cheap, but not Pretty Girl/Rainbow cheap.

Girl, that is my store. LOL. Leather & Swarovski <3

Expensive, but worth it. Got a few things there about 3 years ago & it still looks new. Good thing too, if anything breaks they fix it for free.

Another vote for Tic Tac Toe. They have a cool loyalty program...you get $20 cash loaded onto a card for every $200 you spend. It adds up pretty quickly in the world of $100 gowns.

I agree... the clothes are beautiful. A little out of my price range though. If I ever win the lotto and feel like wearing a work of art I know where to go

I know! Leather & Swarovski combined can only equal hotness.

The second I saw that dress I recognized it. I saw an even sexier version that had a matching fur jacket with Swarovski trim.
