    Help with bruising!!!

Hi everyone! Are there any suggestions as to helping with bruising? My knees and hip bones are constantly bruised from dancing - BADLY. I'm assuming my diet is lower in iron than it should be which is something I'm working on, however is there anything I can do in the meantime? My House Mom said try soaking in Epsom salts in a bath, which I'm doing - just curious if anyone else has any other suggestions. Thanks so much - I appreciate it! And so do my knees!!!

use arnica cream from a health food store on the bruises it heals them heaps quicker and i think you can get it in tablets too which would be a good idea to take for prevention

I also highly recommend arnica gel. Amazing how well that stuff works.

Thumbs up Re: Help with bruising!!!

Thank you to all the girlies who responded - you're all wonderful! I go go dance when I'm not stripping and the lights aren't low enough to hide the bruises ...a go go that looks like she got beat up is NOT sexy, and I'm sure my club manager would agree! Thanks again!!!

Arnica is good and Bromelain. I used tablets after my nose job and THEY WORK! I had almost no bruising two days after my surgery.

I swear by arnica gel for bruising, but would not ever try it internally. The plant itself is toxic, and has been known to cause a variety of nasty side effects (like death).

Try googling "danger arnica internal" for more info.

i swear by taking vitamin k supplements.

After dancing for a while, you knees kind of harden up and don't bruise as easily. At least for me.

i bruise very easily from iron deficiency, not sure about your case, but it could be similar.

i take iron chewables and wear thigh highs if i bruise. chew 2 a day, you can get some tasty ones from GNC that - in my case - did wonders.

Thats funny, because I was reading the back my arnica bottle and there was a little story saying how mountain climbers had discovered they could chew on the arnica plant and they noticed there muscles weren't as sore from the climbing. Didn't know it was poisonous.....never felt sick from taking it tho.

And arnica is the bomb....I bruise so easy and it usually helps my bruises go away in a couple days as opposed to a couple weeks.
