Some people are naturally this way (one of my partners is super sped-up and checks out fine) otherwise it might be a thyroid issue, like people have said. The trouble sleeping makes me lean towards the latter.

OMG..you sound just like me. All the way down to the speed talking and bathroom habits. I sometimes feel like a freak. (not saying that you are though)
I've often wondered if this could lead to problems, and so far it seems that exhaustion is one. I'll go go go for a long as time and then crash. I can't veg or chill almost ever. My idea of chilling is the 5 minutes in a tanning bed...even then I'm moving around. Bah...at least I get a hell of a lot down in a very small amount of time.

Well I do know the speed peeing has led to two hernias. Hahaha.

Yeah totally the same way!! When on holiday I laid in bed an extra hour was like, "OMG I'M BEING SO INDULGENT WITH MY RELAXING" and went on a 9 hour walk around the city. Hahahaha.

I can clean my house in half an hour and eat my dinner in ten.

It doesn't sound like a bad issue to me as long as you don't FEEL stressed. When you feel under pressure, that's what can cause the health probs, but you seem to be fine...except for worrying about why you act how you do. It's possible, from a behaviorist's point of view, that you learned to act that way. Sometime earlier in life, you might've been rewarded everytime you did something fast, and you just got into the habit of doing so...that habit has been carried on throughout your life. Some people just have dif temperaments, also. Are your parents (or whoever raised you) speedy people, too? You might've learned from them. You say you're not nervous anymore, but are you in denial? All in all, I don't think being speedy will cause health problems (except for eating too quickly maybe).

I don't think I'd worry too much about a health problem causing it....I have some of the same problems..I think and speak so quickly that it has become really hard for me to truly listen to what people say to me cuz they speak so slowly..and by the time they finish their comment I've thought of 10 more things that I want to say..and I forget a lot of what they just said to me.....

The only thing u should consider is trying to eat A LOT slower...eating quickly actually causes digestive problems down the road...technicaly we should be chewing our food so well that it is basically a liquid when we swallow it..but since that is way too hard to do..even just slowing it down to where u concentrate on what u are tasting will be a big help...

Maybe u should work on taking more and more time towards meditation or maybe Tai Chi each day or each time u do it..until u devote a consecutive 30-60 min. each time u practice..I think learning to slow down with certain things in our lives would be really helpful...

Good luck with whatever u end up doing...it's def. a hard thing to do for us energetic/quick/flighty types

I dunno I don't necessarily think it's a problem. I eat fast too and I also poo quickly. People sometimes get shocked when I go to the toilet and I'm out so fast. I don't understand why anyone needs to spend extensive lengths of time in the toilet. Like people who read in there yuck!

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
