    Default oil-pulling

Does anyone here oil-pull? I have been doing it for a few months and my teeth have gotten very white and my eyes are lighter....it's really weird!

check out the oil-pulling forum at curezone or go to www.oil-pulling.com if you are interested. It can solve a lot of health problems.

Definitely works. It made my teeth whiter, helped get rid of my allergies, and cleared up my skin. Got really sick after the first day I did it, though--swished for 20 minutes, and was absolutely laid to waste the next day--severe muscle and joint aches, and a severe headache--classic signs of a too-rapid detox. The next day I was fine. If you are going to do it, work your way up to the 20 minutes, starting with 5 minutes the first day, and so on.

For those looking for an explanation without having to click, oil pulling is apparently where you take a mouthful of oil (olive, coconut, etc), and suck, swish and pull it through your teeth for up to 20 minutes. Then you spit it out.

Oil Pulling is a method used for detoxing. It helps pull all the toxins out of your mouth before going into your body. That's probably why the one poster got sick after the first day. Sometimes if you're overloaded with toxins and you detox, you will feel ill. You can use: Coconut oil, Exta Virgin Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil, Safflower Oil and I THINK peanut oil. Basically it will pull heavy metal toxins that come from fillings in teeth, bacteria, plaque buildup and any other toxins in your mouth. It does work. I used coconut oil. This works just as well as going to the dentist and getting your teeth cleaned but for a whole lot cheaper. Go to CUREZONE.com for in depth details under the oil pulling forums.

    ^you get used to it.

I do it while I'm doing my make-up in the morning. It's so worth it when you see how light/sparkly your eyes get and how white your teeth get. I use seasme oil.

What do you think about the links I posted?
In particular, about pulling toxins out:

Oil pulling is supposed to "pull" toxins (no mention of what "toxins" means) out of your blood and bind them somehow to the oil. But there are serious flaws in this theory:
    • First, your blood vessels don't just leak toxins. If chemicals could just leak through the walls of your arteries and veins we'd have no need for oil pulling, would we? We could just rinse our mouths briefly several times a day with plain water and be done with it.
    • Oil pulling is supposed to work by exposing the oil to the large veins under the tongue. But anyone versed in basic human anatomy will tell you that those blood vessels simply aren't large enough to expose your entire blood supply to the oil in the 15-20 minutes allowed for the procedure.

We all know that "toxins" are real. No one is disputing that. But toxins that would be "attracted" to the oil used in oil swishing would be fat-soluble. (Because if they were water-soluble, they wouldn't be attracted to the oil.) And fat soluble toxins don't just run around freely in your bloodstream. They'd be stored in your body's fat cells.

I'm really curious about input about that. Cause I was interested in this..until I ersearched it and found those explainations..... Espicially the link about if it's a scam, why does it work explaination...makes a lot of sense....

Never explain yourself to anyone, because the person who likes you doesn't need it and the person that dislikes you won't believe it.

^^^I like Coconut or Sesamae Oil.

For anyone whos a skeptic why not just try it - its cheap, its quick to do and its easy - no harms going to come from it.
I recommend oil pulling if you have the beginnings of a sore throat or cold too.
It doesnt make sense to me either why it works but Ive had good results from it.

    Huh?
Whats wrong with your mouth? Oil pulling may help - check curezones forums, there are some interesting personal accounts there. I have never gotten sick from it, but if youre worried then just pull when you have a day off or at night so you can go to bed and rest up if nessesary etc.

I believe it, because a friend of mine showed me how to slather oil all over my your body and rub it and it literally pulls dirt and crap out of your pores.

I don't see the harm in it. The people who are recommending it aren't benefiting from it in any way so I can't see how it would be a "scam". If it doesn't work you've only wasted a few minutes and a few dollars. I think I'm going to try it, but can I use the extra virgin olive oil that I already have? Will that yield the same results as coconut or sesame oil?

You can use any oil but ideally you want extra virgin cold pressed oil.

On another note and not aimed at anyone here specificly, I find it odd that some people believe that you can put stuff on your skin and it will be absorbed and work wonders but dont believe you can pull the crap out again. Yet quite possibly believe in using cleansers - which do exactly that...

I always get excited and want to try stuff like this. But i have to agree with you. After 7yrs studying Bio & Chem, I just can't see anyway for this to work. NO WAY what-so-ever. Most toxins and free-radicals are going to come from the digestive track and enter the bloodstream. Assuming the oil would remove them, they don't accumulate in your mouth and very few will be in your sinuses, so the oil would have no contact with the toxins.

Sad, though. I still get tempted, when I know damn well it is a sham.

Oil cleansing works because the oils and waxes (sebum) created by the body are fat soluble and not water soluble.

I have canker sores from biting the inside of my mouth and then eating acidic foods, they are getting better but I don't want to irritate them any further. They hurt like hell

Hey Lena, what kind of oil are you using to do that? And how long do you rub it for? I've been shaving with coconut oil, makes my legs and arms AMAZING, but then I shaved my pussy with it and now its all irritated. I am a mess this week.

Actually a lot of toxins accumulate in your mouth while you're sleeping. That's why it's recommended not to eat or drink in the AM until after you've at least rinsed your mouth out.

Plaque and bacteria? Or other stuff too? I'll have to look this up.

I believe a lot of modern medicine is based on folk medicine, so I'm always interested in stuff like this. I like to check before believing though, because a lot is just the placebo effect.

I can see oilpulling as being effective before people starting brushing their teeth and tongues and rinsing with something like hydrogen peroxide. But I personally don't feel it's necessary to do anymore.
