Exclamation I F*cked Up! Sun Bed Tanning Skin Damage!

So we'll get this out of the way- I tan in sunbeds 2-4 times a month (10-20 minutes, use lotions and eye protection)....

A few weeks ago I left my face exposed (w/ eye protection natch- I usually cover my entire face and neck) and a few days later I noticed a flaky discolored patch on the skin on my forehead near my temple. I put Neosporin on it because it was sore but it healed.

The skin is still faintly purple-ish & I'm certain it's from the tanning bed. I'm on BC pills so I think the hormones just made me more sensitive to the sunbed. BUT I know this is serious (my unblemished face is part of my income)....Should I go to a dermatologist now? Or can I wait and see if it fades....?

Pleae go see a derm! It's probably nothing, but I'd apply the 'better safe than sorry' rule here.

Now, I still have one month left on my tanning membeship that I'm using up. I'm giving up the tanning after that... I won't bother lecturing you on the evils of tanning beds because 1) I'm sure you know the risks 2) this is not what this thread is for and 3) it would be very hypocrytical of me... All I'm going to say is that if you continue to tan, just make sure you're protecting your face if for no other reason than sheer vanity- you can always self tan that and you won't have to worry about messing up one of your money makers.
