The nipple preference thread made me think of this. If you have small nipples and small areolas before pregnancy will they go back to being small after u finish breast feeding or will they stay bigger?

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Ughhhh I'd like to know the same thing. I liked mine before pregnancy too. Now they're so much larger and darker. I don't hate them though. They're alright. They have gotten much lighter since I've been breastfeeding which is nice. I'm guessing they're done changing?
Mine did .But they didn't change that much anyways. I never got the dark line on my stomach eighter. So I guess it does depend .
Mine are bigger I think. Its been so long I forget. Ill dig out some old pics and have a look!
Mine stayed bigger, but I had SO many men tell me how much they liked them when I was dancing. I never brought it up obviously, but they would always comment on my nipples lol. Needless to say I have no complex whatsoever about them now![]()

Hmm I think they went back to being smaller again after, definately got lighter than when I was breastfeeding (as in the were darker and bogger whilst b/f), now I am breastfeeding again so ask me in 6 months and I'll pay more attention this time!!

You scared me for a second, J!

So it sounds like the nipples get a lot bigger and darker during the pregnancy and then somewhat return to their former selves.

I think your heritage may play a part? I am extremely fair and my nipples did not darken much with pregnancy at all, and are back to the same pale pink they always were.
As far as enlarging - I had no change - none.
Getting my boobs augmented gave me larger aereola though, but the nipple is the same.

Mine did get a bit larger from pregnancy/bfing and never went back. Also, my right one got a bit more asymmetrical than the left and I ended up having my surgeon correct the asymmetries when I had my breasts augmented 2 weeks ago. (breastfeeding also left one breast bigger/saggier than the other)
Mine got darker, but never bigger. After I had my daughter, they lightened back up to what they were before.

Mine got really, really, really dark during preggos, but returned to its original color. The areolas got larger, but nips remained the same. I don't know if my areolas would have returned to their originial size or not--I didn't give it a chance because I had them reduced.

^^
i didnt know u could get areola reduction. how was the result?

While bf'ing mine got a lot darker and almost doubled in size. Afterward they lightened up, but not quite back to as light as they were. Same with size, they shrink, but not quite back to as small as they were. This time they are already shrinking a lot though and my youngest is still nursing, so maybe they are going to go back to pre-preg size. They already look smaller than they have in years.
