    Default Tattoo help

When I move, I want to get a tattoo to symbolize...a new chaper in my life, leaving behind the old, learnign from it, turning over a new leaf....all that kind of stuff. I want something unique and nice. Here's a pic of what I like, but that's a pretty common tattoo. I want somethign on my side. Another issue is I would like to cover up 2 bad tattoos, without it looking like an obvious coverup. I have a very small butterfly on my lower abdomen that should cover easily. The hard one is on my lower back. It says Delicious in black script. It's medium sized.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
First pic is what I like. vine/flowes/ something on my side like that, with a flower or whatevr covering my butterfly. But how to wrap that round to my back to cover the other tat up without it looking stupid.
( yeah. I know my curent tat's are bad. That's what you get when you rebel.)

I don't know much about cover ups but I'm sure if you talked to the person you are thinking of having do the work they may be able to offer suggestions. Most tattoo artist I've knon are very helpful and full of advice about what's best for what you are trying to do.

I have a friend that has something sone similarly to what you are talking about, except she has maple leaves. She got them wrapping around her middle, a lot like a belt. I wish that I had a picture, because it looks a lot better than it sounds, it's by far one of the best tattoos I've seen.

But just talk to your artist, they probably can help you figure out something.

Talk to your artist, that's generally the best course of action.

As for getting any design on your stomach...speaking as the owner of a good sized piece on my side/stomach...BE PREPARED FOR PAIN! Seriously, like nausea/barely able to breathe pain. It's like the worst belly-flop you can imagine performing in a swimming pool, times ten.

Maybe you could have the current tattoos lightened via laser removal before having them covered up. It would give the artist a practically virgin canvas on which to work. And I second that getting a tattoo on your side hurts like a motherf*cker! But then again, I've puked on almost every trip to the tattoo parlour, because I'm a wuss.

Just throwing ideas in, but how about something that starts low in front and back and curves up to waist level (or higher) at the side, with the bigger flowers/leaves at the side, so it kinda tapers off at each end of the piece.
As the others said, prepare for a fair bit of pain.

Wow.. I love that first pic of the tattoo you want. I don't think the butterfly would be hard to cover up. I don't really have anything helpful to add about the delicious tattoo other than getting it lightened like somebody said.
