    Default restylane or collagen

Im thinking of getting my lips done, I dont want anything to different and deffinatly not fake looking just a little more pouty. anyway I am deciding between collagen and restylane can anyone who has had ethier one of these tell me the pros/cons. Which will last longer hurt moreand most importantly which will look more natural?

I'd go with the restylane because it lasts longer. The cost is just a little more, but if it stays an extra month or more its so worth it. All the collagen injections I've had looked wonderful but were gone within a couple months.

Have had both...Restalayne definately lasts longer and "fills" better IMO.

I think it hurts "a bit"...they can give you a numbling-cream wich helps and my friend actually gets a "dental block" but it's over very quickly with immediate gratification so to me,it's worth the short bit of ouchie-time.

It depends on how you have it done and how much you want used that gives a more natural or not look to the lips...if you get a "wet/dry" it's SO pretty! They do the outline of the lips and then inside the lower lip for that bee-stung look.

I also swear by using "Fusion Lip FX" products after a week or so,it really helps to extend the poufy-time for me.

The PS Clinic I considered charges $50 per visit/injection, for either Collagen or Restylane... I think that it's a good price, although I've never done it.

I'm considering Restylane in my upper lip to even it out with my lower lip. =)

$50 a visit? That seems way cheap.
Like Zabrina, I've seen from $400-500 for 1cc.

Yeah if there charging 50 its not restylanne. It usuallyb runs 400-500 a cc. They have .05 syringe for 300. But you will probably want 1cc if your doing the upper and lower. Dont bother with collagen it doesnt do anything and you have to get an allergy test first. Restylannes better.

Have you thought about Perlane? I've heard it's a better lip filler than restylane.

Also, NO-WAY that a restylane injection costs $50!!

    You're all right.
I'm a dweeb, in my paperwork it says "With every visit there is a $50 professional fee for Dr. Petroff or Dr. Maier to administer the material. "

& That's all it said. So I called & asked, & it's $50 fee plus $410 for the actual filler.

    Misleading!

That makes sense...you're paying a fee to have them administer it.

I pay $460.00 and have gone to the same Dr. forever...

I wouldn't do Perlayne the first time...it's thicker and you can get some tiny "bumps" after using it,I'd try the other first.

I need to shop around. The place I've been looking at wants $550 for restylane and $700 for Juvederm.

Does Juvederm really last twice as long? The guy is telling me up to 18 mos!

From my understanding restylane and juverderm are the same thing just different brands. I've had both and they lasted about the same amount of time.

18 months I wish! I got Juvederm in February, and after three months my lips went down a lot. I do still notice a *very* small difference (I'm at four months).

^Yeah 18 months I wish! I think they all over inflate how long the stuff will last. I was told 6 months for collagen and it barely lasted 2.

Thanks for the info. I def don't wanna get screwed. I really want my lips done a tiny bit and I have a marrionet line on one side only I'd like filled, but I don't think it's worth the cost or the pain for 4 mos.

    More to consider now.....
