She was just eating a lot of zebra cakes and doritos.. duh.

i think not knowing involves some sort of stupidity, usually. or maybe really large people dont notice? kinda sad to think that to
Yeah, I don't understand how someone CAN'T know they're pregnant, especially when the baby starts getting really active and kicking, moving, and punching constantly. And late term, you can SEE the movements even through your clothes. Or, when they are getting ready to come out and have found that they are most comfortable when their feet are lodged in your ribs. All four of mine did that.

Denial?
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
^It's gotta be.
Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner!
I mean, seriously. I think I wrote it before but my husband got a call that one of his nurses was taking maternity leave and he was concerned because he wasnt previously informed and then he finds out that she didnt know she was 9 months pregnant. He said she was a larger lady but still - thats no excuse.
I knew I was pregnant within a week or 2 and was going crazy when all my tests were coming back negative. I didnt have morning sickness or anything - I just KNEW. It just seems so odd to me.

yeh i read somewhere that a young girl got pregnant but she was in denial so bad that she didnt think she was pregnant and gave birth in the toilet at her prom or something and left the baby inside the toilet or something horrible like that.
would there be big danger in going a whole pregnancy without any medical checks? i mean pregnant women go for lots of check ups.

^ Absolutely. They need to monitor the baby, especially its heart rate to see if there are any possible problems. Not to mention the fact that she wasn't taking any prenatal vitamins and her sleep and eating patterns were terrible. She could have also been smoking and drinking the whole time. That's just ridiculous.

The article says she quit smoking and thats what she attributed her weight gain to.
It also says she didn't feel any movement with this baby.
Personally being pregnant took over my whole life, there is no way i couldn't have known.
My question is why would she be in denial??, its not like she was a little kid, she has a husband and a daughter already, so what if she gets pregnant.
Its so weird, anyway I hope the baby stays healthy and she uses some birthcontrol!
I thought it was impossible, too.....
My sister in law didn't know she was pregnant until she was 6 months along. She's always been a fairly big girl (tall, big build) and her weight fluctuated so much, we just assumed she was getting fatter. She wore baggy clothes. Three months before the baby was born, she felt him kick, and that's how she knew. She hid the pregnancy until after she gave birth, so my husband learned he was an uncle out of nowhere. She smokes like a chimney so I'm glad the kid is ok... but wow. Talk about not knowing your body very well!
Totally denial.

Ugh we've had this discussion before. There are very rare instances where a woman doesnt gain much weight, never feels the baby move(or at least nothing that cant be passed off as gas) and keeps bleeding through out her pregnancy. I knew 2 girls like this in high school and college. They (and nobody else either) even suspected they were pregnant until a baby popped out.
Its very rare, but it DOES happen. These are not normal pregnancies...and most are born prematurely. Thankfully in both the cases I knew personally the baby was fine and the woman (after getting over the shock) made a wonderful mother.
But rest assured..it DOES happen.
Actually I know somebody who didn't know she was pregnant until five months! And she isn't fat AT ALL!!
LOL-
The doctors had told her she was in menopause about two years before she got pregnant. She only gained like five to ten pounds in the five months of her pregnancy before she knew, if you can believe it. Finally when her ankles started swelling and all that stuff, she went to the doctor who found out she was pregnant! Coincidentally she owns a bar, so she was drinking and smoking the whole five months too! Isn't that crazy???
PS-her son is beautiful and totally healthy too... She's like 50~OMG!

Maybe those sneaky storks pulled a fast one on them when they weren't looking?

One of my high school friend's moms didn't know she was preg for 5 months-had a light period and all. She is a big woman and had just come off of heroin, so maybe she was still a bit out of sorts? I don't know.![]()
