Default Fruity face mask in cosmospolitan:

"Stop summer greasies with a simple natural face mask. Certain seasonal fruits , such a s pineapples and papaya are loaded with enzymes that help dissolve old and slough off dead skin."

Your supposed to mix papaya, egg and pineapple in a blender and put it on your face for 10 minutes. And then what? Eat it?

Ok people, there are products out there specially formulated for skin. Why do you want to make a souffle for your face? Once I found a recipe for hair conditioner that said to put mashed up bananas in your hair. What can I say- I was like, 14 and I actually did it. Do you know how hard it was to get mashed up banana peices out of my hair? It got so tangled up and it took DAYS to rinse out. Worst. Idea. Ever.

But... if someone is brave enough to try the papaya mask, will you let me know how it turns out? Thanx.

I dunno. With food prices these days, I guess I'd rather just EAT the food and go buy some glycolic solution from MUAC. There are friggin' food riots in the world right now. I'm not granola by any stretch of the imagination, but it's like, hey man. A thing of pineapple is like $4, same with papaya. Then you have to blend it. Then smear it on your face. That's $8 for a face mask. Wouldn't it be easier, faster and less wasteful to just go buy some dang L'Oreal?

If you already have the the stuff to make it you might as well. It does work. Although be careful about the egg though. I found out the hard way when I was like 15 that I'm allergic to egg applied topically. I can eat them, but if raw ones get on my skin, I break out.
