So how far do you commute to work?
I'd be driving approx. an hour to an hour and half if I audition in either Atlanta Georgia or Birmingham Alabama as I live very nearly in between both equally....
Anyone else faced with driving such a distance??

Anywhere from 35 minutes to a little over an hour. It's not that bad really. But I'll be a lot closer when I move in a few weeks though. Gas prices are killing me and my car is pretty old.
I live an hour, hour and a half from my job. It's hell getting home at 4:00 in the morning but sometimes, you gotta go where the money is.
Also, Virgo's right that gas prices are insane, but I strip with my roommate and we go 50/50 so it's not so bad.
I plan on getting a small car ASAP. Be glad ya got one girlie! LOL I drive a full size chevy with a 350(v-eight) under the hood. I use it to pull the horses (and friend's horses) so getting rid of it would mean having to let my hobby go and thats just not feasible either... So hopefully I'll be getting a small car... I reallly want one of the "newer" VW bugs! CUTECUTE

^OMG I love those little convertible buggies, esp in light colors like light yellow. that'd look so cute![]()
I totally juggled the idea of getting a red one and having big black dots painted on it...
but then I'm a cheesey cheesy, eccentric girl. LOL

Or you could get a Prius or a Smart car. As much as I would love to have a Smart, I live in Texas where EVERYONE has huge-ass trucks and SUV's-not to mention all of the 18 wheelers on the road so if I got in a wreck, I'd probably be crushed in seconds flat. I think they get about 60 mpg, but I'm not sure. The Prius gets good gas mileage too.
^ I seen a pastel blue smart car the other day.... damn funky looking little bugger! Looked like an easter egg with wheels! :-/
I drive about 120 miles round trip. The longest I've been on the road on the way there is 2 1/2 hours, and it's about an hour and 20 minute drive home each night. It's totally hell, especially with having to care for The Baby during the day, but like someone else said, you have to go where the money is.

I live about 75 miles from my club. I only have to drive there once a week though. I prefer working at a club that is a little far from home for privacy reason...plus I don't really care for the clubs in my city.

there are guys in tx who'll do electric conversions. as long as you aren't doing more than 50 miles in one direction, you can get a fully electric car for under 15k, including parts and conversion and buying the beater car you convert.
I drive about an hour to and from, not so bad. It's the closest club to me, and 4$ a gallon is crazy! I drive a VW 34ish miles a gallon, so dont let me stop you all from complaining, I feel your pain, we also have a big ass Expedition that no longer get's as much love as it did when it was new!

Twenty minutes by bus or bycicle. I sold my car several months ago cause I never used it and havn't looked back since! My bus picks up practically on my doorstep and drops off directly across from the club.

Takes me an hour and twenty on a good night, or two hours on a bad night to get to work. I live out in th bush so travelling is just a fact of life. Sometimes it really bugs me, but I only have to work 2-3 nights to make the same money as hard yakka on a farm for a whole week.
Fully worth it.
I have driven and hour and half and sometimes two hours to get to work before. The gas prices are something terrible though, I must say. You gotta go where the money is though.
Depends on where I'm working. Right now I'm dancing @ 3000 miles from home.
45 min. but I loathe driving!
I'm about an hour away from my club, and its the nearest one! But I don't have a car, so its more like someone else does the driving and I pay the gas. I wish I had my own car so I could do simple stuff like listen to the music I want etc.
Tonight there was a girl that had driven in from 4 hours away. She says she'll get fired from her day-job if anyone finds out so she has to go afar to dance!

40 min to an hour![]()

Im very lucky right now i live 10 mins from my current club but in the past i have commuted about an hour each way, at one point i was living and one state and working in another!
About an hour. I personally wouldn't want to live TOO close to my club, as I'd have more of a chance of someone following me home, or running into custies out in public.
But I do want a Smart Car. Badly. The only thing stopping me from cashing in my Toyota and buying one is that I don't know how well they hold up over time. I'd hate to buy one only to find out that it's worse than a Ford wrt: constantly falling apart and needing repairs.

50 miles exactly, round trip. There are a lot of asshole drivers on the way there, but the way back is just very peaceful up in my helmet, esp. on a warm night. Makes me really love riding. Earplugs + no one else on the road + 80+ mph = absolute calm.

my drive is from 15-30 minutes depending on traffic.
115 miles each way - just under 2 hours each way. I stay the weekend. Currently Im on a thing where I will only go to work if I have the itch to which means I wont be working much...
